Dora is a dark liver Dach. about 6 lbs, she is young maybe around 18 months. She was rescued with Jinger from animal control in rural TN. The temp was dropping to single digits that night with no shelter for warmth. That night, she and Ginger would never have made it through the night. She was a house dog, very thin, and probably came from a breeder. She is now safe and looking for someone to love her. Sweet as can be and cute as a button, she has bright eyes, and loves to be held. She will need alot of attention, as she is feeling confused and insecure about everything that has happened to her. She still loves people. Gina is a beagle girl who didn't cut it as a hunting dog so she will be a nice family dog. She is gentle with children and great with other dogs. She is just spayed and is doing well. She was a trooper through her surgery and recovery. She is quiet as a mouse, not a barker. If she wants to go out she will make the cutest little noise that is like a woo woo. It's nice and quiet. She is a real sweet dog and deserves a great home. She has the short look of a basset and many basset features, but is listed as a purebred beagle by her owner. We didn't ask for papers as we don't care what her mix is, she just needs a good home.

Jizelle is a 6 year old Golden/Shepherd female dog who is finally coming up for adoption. She was pulled from an overcrowded shelter in TN on the day she was to be euthanized. She was not spayed, was heart worm positive, and had mammary tumors. She has been in foster care since last fall and is finally finished with her treatment and surgeries. The shaved part of her back (in pic) will grow back. It was shaved for the heartworm treatment. Jizelle is a different dog now. She was not very active before the surgery, but runs around and acts like she feels great now. Jizelle is precious. She is good with strangers, loves to go for walks, plays fine with other dogs, is good with puppies and LOVES ATTENTION. She will make some lucky family a great companion. Thank God for a rescuer who has a heart for all animals, even those most needy and expensive. If you can help even a little, we'll make sure the donation gets to help with her medical costs. Her costs are running around $600-700 so far. THANK YOU, SPONSORS! She can finally come up to be adopted.

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU FOR HELPING! Tonka is a youthful 12.5 year old English Shepherd mix and came to us from a dog sanctuary in WV. Tonka is spayed, weighs about 55 pounds, and acts like a young dog. Tonka is a very sweet and affectionate dog who loves attention and a good scratch behind the ears, or just laying by your feet while you watch TV or read. She gets along with all dogs and loves kids. She has no fears of men. She picks toys out of her basket and throws them around, which is very cute. She does not act her age at all, especially when she is running around at full speed doing play bows at you. This dog is just an absolute love. She is totally housetrained and she crates well but, does not need to be crated at all. She doesn't exhibit any arthritis at all. We believe that she is healthier because she was not given the extra vaccinations that can push a dog into early aging.

We are seeking a holistic home only who is willing to cook for her and switch her to the raw diet as she is not able to eat dog kibble. There are no exceptions to this rule! She is a lovely dog, joyful, playful, knows many obedience commands, but will jump up on you out of excitement like any young doodle would. She likes runs and walks in woods, loves to swim and simply adores people and kids!!! She has been exposed to many, many situations and has even been boating over the summer. She's delightful and would make a wonderful dog for the right family. She is non-shedding and will require regular grooming. Fenced in yard would help meet her exercise needs. Peaches is a six year old Peke who is available March 20th. She was rescued in TN by a woman who takes in strays. She got her from a breeder who had bred and bred her until she was finished. Dogs don't last long in this kind of life. When she was rescued was filthy and had a little respiratory problem,we think from the dust and dirt at the kennel. She had an infection in her mouth from lack of dental care, and the vet thought at one point in her life, a broken jaw. This poor baby deserves a great life, especially after what she's been through. Despite her ordeal, she is very lovable, knows how to follow people to the refrigerator, plays with toys and all the other things you would expect of a little house dog. She gets along great with all the dogs and cats here, but she is not afraid of any dog so can be feisty with big ones she doesn't know. She sleeps in her crate with no fussing. She likes to go out and go potty in the yard and play with the rest of the dogs, but will use puppy pads too. Some accidents in the house, but usually my fault for not getting her out in time. She is an easy dog to have around. All her dental work is done, they did leave her snaggle tooth, The vet said it was not loose at all and did not want to pull it. Her little broken Jaw does not impede her eating at all. She has had a rough time, but is one of the best natured little dogs in the world. Application process is on our Web page, Apply to Adopt!

Snuggles was born to Ava on 12-8-08, but adopted by Shawnda, the yorkie mix several days later. Snuggles had rolled off the blanket and was cold, so the foster mom brought her into the bathroom to warm her up and when Shawnda (who had lost a pup) heard it, she came running in to rescue her baby. She took her, nursed her, and wouldn't let the foster mom take her back to put with her original mom, Ava. So Snuggles thinks that Shawnda is her mom and Peanuts and Precious are her sisters. They all get along like one happy family. Snuggles should be a dog who can coexist with smaller dogs. They are adorable and spoiled!   Sophia, 8 weeks Female Beagle/Bassett/Terrier  Mix
Sophia

Adopted

Sophia (the largest female) and her siblings are Beagle/Bassett crosses. She weighs 10 lbs and the others are 8 lbs. They are 8 weeks old and have had their first puppy booster. They are cute and playful, love toys and romping around. They will be available after their health exam on Saturday, the 14th. We require an application that can be filled out on our web site, then we will contact you. We give preference to applicants who will keep them on a holistic protocol so that they will have long, healthy lives. History: The mother dog was killed by a car when the puppies were 4 weeks old. She was a Basset/Beagle cross, more the size of a Beagle but a bit long in the back and short in the legs. The father of the puppies is supposed to be a neighbor's "terrier" type dog, shorthaired, and his shoulders come to about the knees of the women. Medium-sized fella who runs free 24/7, black and white. The terrier is the only male dog who had access to the mother dog. Our adoption process is spelled out on the Web site, so please, no phone calls.

Adopted

Tucker is a one year old neutered male Golden/Lab/Chow mix. Tucker is shy with people at first but once he warms up he is the sweetest dog. He loves belly rubs and being scratched behind the ears. He is great in the house and will lay next to you for pets or play, play, play with you. Tucker loves his dog bed and sleeps with his head on his teddy bear, it's the cutest thing. He likes to "hold hands" with you. Tucker is wonderful with all other dogs and loves to play. He is great on leash and loves his daily walks. Tucker is housetrained, he is learning how to ring the bells on a back door to go outside. He knows how to sit and how to give you his paw. Tucker is very cute deserves a good home. All he wants is to be loved and to give love. Tucker lost his home when his 80 year old owner slipped and fell, so could no longer take care of him. Tucker has arrived and has a clean bill of health. Tucker will be at the meet and greet on Saturday, March 21 or can be seen by private appointment in his foster home once your application is recieved on other days.
