He was born on 11/23/10 and was adopted from a a shelter in Indiana and returned for jumping up on the kids. He is has the deep-set eyes and look of a Golden Retriever, but with shorter hair, longer ears and a leaner look. He has medium-high energy, but loves to play with other dogs. She weighs 12 to 13 lbs. and is 1 1/2 to 2 years old. She has been spayed and has received her rabies and DA2PPv vaccinations. She was rescued and has been worked with by Donna from FFL and is now here in MA and available for adoption. Liebchen will be timid in new situations so a quiet home, preferably with another dog or where she can be your close companion, is preferred. She won't get the socialization if you're gone all day, so please be someone who has the time. She does enjoy chasing a tennis ball. Her nickname, "Pokeynose", is because she "pokes" at you with her little pointed nose. REQUIREMENTS: Patience, TLC, and a completely fenced yard. He's very cuddly and affectionate with his foster mom, and like many small dogs, he shrinks away from big hands coming at him and is afraid of men. The puppies are weaned and Tootsie will be spayed soon and looking for her own forever home. She is a sweet girl who is good with cats and other dogs in that she pretty much ignores them and can co-exist just fine. She loves people best and would love to have her own lap to sit on. She weighs around 13 lbs. She's very affectionate and will give kisses. Like any small dog, she will bark when strangers come in and then she'll settle down. She hasn't done a lot of traveling, so she gets restless in a car but will most likely get accustomed given time. She walks well on a leash, but is afraid of cars - so walking in the woods or trail without cars is best. She's not a dog for city life. She knows where the couch is, but will choose a dog bed if you guide her and she will settle down nicely. She loves you to stroke her. She loves the smell of toast as it comes out of the toaster and will beg a little, then will settle down. She likes soft toys and will chase a ball. Yogi, ~ 11 months Male Flat-coated Retriever / Border Collie  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Yogi is a Flat-coated Retriever mix who is ~ 11 months old, SUPER sweet and submissive. He recently arrived from TN where dogs are euthanized regularly. He and two other dogs, Phoebe and Founder, were saved. Flat-coats are very submissive dogs who make great family pets.
