Liebchen is one of the smallest of the group of rescued dogs who came from Friends for Life in WV, and the most submissive. She weighs 12 to 13 lbs. and is 1 1/2 to 2 years old. She has been spayed and has received her rabies and DA2PPv vaccinations. She was rescued and has been worked with by Donna from FFL and is now here in MA and available for adoption. Liebchen will be timid in new situations so a quiet home, preferably with another dog or where she can be your close companion, is preferred. She won't get the socialization if you're gone all day, so please be someone who has the time. She does enjoy chasing a tennis ball. Her nickname, "Pokeynose", is because she "pokes" at you with her little pointed nose. REQUIREMENTS: Patience, TLC, and a completely fenced yard. A knowledge of canine behavior or previous experience with timid dogs is a plus. The nice thing about these dogs is that they do not bite, even when scared, so we have been able to socialize them quickly. We've had over a dozen successful adoptions with the dogs from this group who came up last year and we're hopeful that we can find this group great homes too. Each would be best with another small dog as another dog will help build their confidence.
