Adopted

Anna is a 4 year old Rottweiler. She’s a big girl at 95 lbs, but is as gentle as they come. She loves people, snuggling up to kids and adults alike. She's gentle with children and has been with kids as young as 7. She is a smart dog who is quickly learning obedience and basic commands. She loves emptying the toy box until she finds a ball that she can carry with her. Anna is in a foster home with other dogs and is doing great. Her foster mom says, "She knows some commands - sit, touch, drop it. Responds to her name, generally listens when I tell her to leave something (or someone) alone. Very sweet. Has de-stuffed every toy in the house!" She would do best in a home with a fenced-in back yard. Please fill out an application for the fastest response. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for summer vacations. Apply at http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

Autumn under 2 years old spayed most fantastic sweet bombproof dog ever. Great with kids, cats and dogs of all sizes. Foster says, "She has been a pleasure to foster and an amazing dog to have in our home. If we didn't have two we would keep her. We can not say enough about her, she showed up thin from the shelter having recently had puppies, still full of milk but of course the puppies were never found. We are extremely careful given our small older dog and our children but in the weeks we have had Autumn she has been nothing but the sweetest most perfect house guest ever." She weighs 48 lbs. She is happy and appropriately playful and and has not been destructive. She will take a part of our hearts with her when she goes. This sweet girl is phenomenal and has been from day one. ADOPTED! Joker is a very sweet three year old German Shepherd who came from a horrific puppy mill in PA. He is shy, but he is a LOVE. Joker deserves a great home, someone who understands the Shepherd breed and also how these rescued dogs need compassion and patience. He really comes out of his shell when we bring out the female Shepherd so we think he could use a dog friend. He could possibly live with males too but because of his shyness he needs a securely fenced in yard. Electric fence would be too harsh for this tender dog. We all ADORE his heart. When we brought Bonnie, another Shepherd out, he got got excited that he jumped in the pool in delight. Doesn't that melt your heart? He's a good size, petite for a male, weighing in at 68 lbs. Adopted

Molly is 2 years old spayed 49 pounds completed her heart worm treatment and is heartworm negative. She is a mix of several breed. Molly is very affectionate and sticks like glue to her people. She gives kisses to every stranger she meets and throws herself at your feet for belly rubs. She attached equally to her foster dad and her foster mom and knew to be careful around the disabled foster dad who is in a wheel chair. She is gentle happy soul who responds very well to positive reinforcement and really does not need aversion training at all. Very minor corrections, if any, do the trick with her no heavy handed corrections are needed as she has had enough of those in the past. She is such an affectionate and happy girl now with so much love to give and will almost instantly be your absolute best friend for life. She is big on giving a proper face washing so be ready for some major kisses (bright side is they are not super slobbery but this dog does not just give a quick kiss and be done with it). Her ideal home would have a fenced yard, older kids and she would do well with or without other dogs in the home. She loves her couch time watching TV and while not a fan of the crate understands that's where she eats and sleeps every night. She will make some noise (a whine or even a bark) when she needs to go out if in the crate but if loose in the house she will stand by the door or pace by the door (she is quiet if loose and will not bark to let you know she needs to go out then, she only makes noise about needing to go out if crated). She is let out into a privacy fenced yard to use the bathroom several times a day and gets along well with the elderly Labrador and middle aged lab mix in the home. Her foster family will her and has truly felt blessed to be a part of her journey.

No one ever claimed her but she hasn't let that discourage her! She has the most interesting fuzzy almost fluffy soft fur. Even though she missed a number of meals she has no resource guarding issues and backs off from any other dog without a second thought. She gets along well with everybody and is very well behaved. Her foster mom is on the picky side with dogs and just adores her. She won't keep them if they are not an easy so I picked Trudy as an easy dog for her to take home. The foster also has Macy and Lilly the Chiweenie sisters and and Trudy loves them. Trudy loves people and can't wait to make new friends. She is very people oriented and very well behaved.
