Hi, my name is Benny and I sit for treats! When you call, I come running! Here's what the volunteers say: Benny is a 2 year old neutered 35 pound Beagle mix. For a hound he's got an excellent recall. He also ignores cats! He's not a big talker, is fantastic with people and other dogs and is a great size. He's fully grown, not high energy, but just a really great over all dog. He would do best with a fenced in yard. He is doing awesome with crate training too. We do not have walk-in hours, but prefer application. We seek local adopters who can attend our puppy classes. Our phones cannot hold that many messages so please fill out the application and wait for the response. http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

Adopted

Holden is a laid back 4-5 year old Coonhound who deserves a great home. He LOVES being inside. He is happy with a dog bed. Sometimes he will chew a bone but is not obsessed. He seeks human attention. He has a 3/4 length tail, weighs 62 lbs., is microchipped, up to date on everything, and is neutered. Holden is a quiet laid back friendly guy. They originally thought he was two, but since his teeth are a little worn, the vet put him at 4 or 5. His teeth are white and in good shape. He can sometimes pull on leash but only if excited. A fenced in yard would be great, but he would really rather be with his people than left outside. He is a country boy so we prefer a suburban or country setting for him. Murray is 1 to 2 year old neutered male Carolina dog who is friendly with dogs and people. He would be great for kids as he loves to chase a ball and he loves toys. He Loves other dogs and would be an awesome addition to a home with another dog or as an only pet. His foster mom says, "He has quickly learned to walk well on leash. He is learning some simple commands like “sit and stay”. Murray is a very active, energetic dog and would be a great candidate for agility training. He does love playing “fast fetch” with tennis balls and squeaky toys. He is totally housebroken and quietly sleeps all night in the crate." He weighs 55 pounds.
