Acedon is a 16 week old kitten who came up from Louisiana with Blue, Raven, and Rumor. If considering adopting please be aware that cats can live to be 20+ years old so it is a very long term commitment. Our adoption policies are as follows: Kittens must be placed in pairs OR there must be another kitten at home for the kitten to play with. Some pairs of cats will only be placed as pairs and not split up. We have paid their vetting and transportation costs so much as $250/kitten or $450/pair. Due to Covid-19 we do not have drop-in visits, but everything is scheduled by appointment and by invitation only -- if we feel you are a match and if we are not overwhelmed with applications ahead of yours. Bentley

Adopted

Bentley is a wonderful 9 year old Golden Doodle who has been well cared for his entire life. We're looking for a special home, hopefully one of our previous adopters or with someone who is known to Save A Dog. Bentley is still in his home until we find a suitable match for him. He is playful and friendly, loves his walks, in addition has always had a fenced in yard to run around in. He was raised with children but has anxiety about visiting children so a child-free home is preferred. He loves balls and can have any ball except a tennis ball as he ate one in his early years and had to have surgery. He also rips up soft toys. Other than the one surgery he is the picture of health except for anxiety. We would love to see him go to an adult home where he can be doted on as he has been like a child to the couple who raised him and they are at home all the time. Young retirees would be ideal. He loves walks on the beach, but is not much of a swimmer. He will stick his feet in, but that's it. He has not been off-leash. He weighs 40 lbs. He was raised with a dog-savvy Persian cat. We welcome an adopter who understands and follows our holistic protocol and who will provide Bentley with a good nutritional diet and supplemental vitamins and probiotics as well as adequate exercise and love. Please apply online or email us, but we can't take phone calls at this time.

Manny was born to a feral mom and Marty readily accepted him as his pal and they are now the perfect pair! Manny is pretty laid back and loves belly rubs, while Marty is a little more playful and hasn't found a toy he doesn't like. They have formed a nice bond and we will be adopting them together as a pair. If considering adopting please be aware that cats can live to be 20+ years old so it is a very long term commitment. It is not fair to only keep a cat for a short while and then give him/her up later. They love their families and are heartbroken to be separated from them at any point. If interested in adopting please complete the application at http://saveadog.org/available_cats.asp and download the application. Our adoption policies are as follows: Due to Covid-19 we do not have drop-in visits, but everything is scheduled by appointment and by invitation only -- if we feel you are a match and if we are not overwhelmed with applications ahead of yours. All decisions are made in the best interest of the cats. Thank you for respecting our process.

Adopted

Matty is one of Mindy's pups born on 3/25/20 in a foster home here in Massachusetts. At 8 weeks of age, he came down with puppy strangles, an auto immune disorder. He received prompt treatment and the condition resolved itself quickly and has not reoccurred, so he is all set to find his Forever Family. We would love to place him locally and prefer a home that will continue to build up his immune system with the supplements and diet we recommend for all puppies. Matty was a wonderful "patient" (he really didn't know anything was wrong) and as a consequence he is very good with all over handling and loves his cuddle time. He has lived in two different foster homes with other dogs, adapts well, and loves to play. Matty is the clown of the litter and being the only one with short legs had to think smart to gain advantage over his litter mates. He is currently being fostered with children and enjoys their attention. He would do well in a home with another small, friendly dog to play with! Apply at http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp

Available soon. Parker is already 27 lbs so is going to be a big boy. We think he's got blood hound in him, but could be Dane. We're holding him until his skin clears up as his coat is thin. This can be caused by poor nutrition, living outside, you name it so we have him on probiotics, puppy supplements, and many small meals a day as he seems to have missed a few meals on his ride up from the south. Please apply online if you're interested. Due to Covid we do not have walk-in hours.

Adopted

Rocket is a friendly, 1 year old husky/shepherd mix that came to us from a shelter in Louisiana. He loves to run around outside so we're looking for a fenced in yard for him! He's a lovebug! He loves attention from humans- ESPECIALLY BELLY RUBS. HE ROLLS RIGHT OVER AND DEMANDS THEM 😊 He's never had an accident here and follows me right back in to come inside. He's very easy going and super friendly!! I never heard him make a peep at all. He loves to be outside and roam around in the grass yard, but can be an escape artist so he needs a fully fenced in yard, an invisible or partial fence would not be adequate. He seems curious about wildlife, but doesn't seem to have a huge prey drive. He's recently neutered. If you are interested in Rocket we are accepting application at www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

Adopted

Sir Golden comes from Louisiana where he originally lived with his owner, who sadly, passed away. He then went with someone who did not take very good care of him and when they moved he was left behind. Luckily, someone contacted the local shelter and he was rescued. Sir Golden has been through a lot of changes and his foster mom is working to build his confidence back using positive reinforcement (he loves treats!) and helping him feel safe in his new environment. He would do best in a home without other dogs and for training purposes a fenced in yard is preferred. Sir Golden loves to be around people and enjoys snoozing close by if you are working from home or going for short walks, as long as his person is there to encourage him. He is completely house trained. Typical of huskies, he does not like being crated or confined in a small area, he needs someone with a stay at home schedule to work with him and make him comfortable. He is a sweet boy that is looking for a patient and kind adopter to give him a stable home.
