Clara, 14 weeks Female Shepherd/Collie  Mix
Clara

Adopted

Clara is one of five pups born in the woods in Mississippi who were caught by local rescue volunteers mid-May; the pups quickly formed very close attachments to people but they are still a little shy in new situations. They need homes where they will be gently introduced to new experiences on a regular basis for months to come. If they are not socialized properly, you will be wondering six months from now why the pup is so shy and afraid of everything. Like most pups their age, they are very mouthy and need consistent re-direction to chew toys. Clara is full of mischief, very playful but if you pick her up she goes as limp as a rag doll and will let you scratch and cuddle her to your heart's content. Daisy is a female pup whose mom is an Australian Shepherd and dad is a Lab. She has the naturally bobbed tail of the Aussie and a beautiful thick coat. She is 14 weeks old and has had two health visits and is up to date on vaccines. She's a cute puppy who has been adopted and is being returned. Daisy knows: SIT, WAIT, DOWN, FETCH, DROP IT, OFF, “PLAY SOCCER”, READY/SET/GO…STOP and LET'S GO. Daisy is “mouthy”, like a typical puppy. When she has adequate exercise and stimulation, she is less mouthy. She is NOT aggressive and does not seek out confrontation, nor does she guard food/toys. Katie is a beautiful black Lab female mix. She showed up at a home near our foster mom in Tenessee and stayed there for months. They called asking me to take her. When she did not go get her as fast as they wanted, they took Katie to animal control. They called saying how they cared for Katie so she said “If you care so much, call and see if animal control has put her to sleep. If not, go get her.” To her surprise, they did just that!! It would have been such a shame for her to be put down. She is a super sweet dog, friendly with strangers, good with other dogs, smart (learned to walk on a leash in 1 day). Learned the walking routine in no time(going back inside after doing her business). She will jump for attention so kids 12 and up would be good. She is fine in the car, good on leash, all around good dog! She would love someone who will play with her and take her for walks and swimming. A fenced yard would be nice or dog park nearby. Our process is that you fill out the application first, then in one or two days we will contact you if your application is a match.
