Lee is one of five pups born in the woods in Mississippi who were caught by local rescue volunteers mid-May; the pups quickly formed very close attachments to people but they are still a little shy in new situations. They need homes where they will be gently introduced to new experiences on a regular basis for months to come. If they are not socialized properly, you will be wondering six months from now why the pup is so shy and afraid of everything. Like most pups their age, they are very mouthy and need consistent re-direction to chew toys. Lee loves meeting other dogs, loves belly rubs, and likes to follow his foster mom around the house, very sweet boy. He is in a foster home in NY and will be available in the near future. Our process is that you fill out the application first, then in one or two days we will contact you if your application is a match. Please read our guidelines under Apply to Adopt as some dogs require a stay-at-home and some dogs require a fenced in yard. Phone calls are discouraged as it takes time away from the care of the dogs to answer questions that might already be on our web site. We tend to put down everything we know. If information is missing, it's usually because we don't know. :-)
