Adopted

Caleb is a wonderful pup who has a lot to offer his new home. He's already neutered and is up to date on vaccines and ready for his new home. He's a "Coconut Retriever" from St Thomas and will be available this coming weekend. He has a wonderfully playful personality and played nicely in a yard with a dozen other pups his size. The group was called "puppy row" and these pups were too big to fly under the seat so they almost missed their chance to come to New England to find a home. But Save A Dog spoke up for them and offered to take them all.Good with dogs. Kids 12+ best because of his energy level and a bit shy at first. He will chase cats for fun, but doesn't hurt.

Adopted

Carlita will not be at Tuesday's Meet & Greet. Carlita is a very sweet shy female, and very beautiful, "Coconut Retriever" from the island of St Thomas. I'm Carlita and I weigh 25 lbs. but I'm still young so will add a few pounds as I grow. I will need someone home part of the day at least to teach me my puppy lessons. I'm almost house trained but will need a refresher. I want to learn crate training too so if you are around a bit we can learn together. I am a calm girl and would be ok with clam kids 12+ as fast movements make me nervous. I like other dogs and I'm fine with cats. I am so lucky to have traveled to MA to find my forever home. Please come meet me but fill out this application first at www.saveadog.org.

The group was called "puppy row" and these pups were too big to fly under the seat so they almost missed their chance to come to New England to find a home. But Save A Dog spoke up for them and offered to take them all. She is very shy and a mellow girl at first but warms up. She is not fond of the leash yet so a fenced yard would be good. She is spayed but still young so will need someone home part time at least. Kids 12 +

Adopted

Nala is a one year old Whippet/Shepherd/Terrier who we met at the Humane Society of St Thomas. She was so lovely and had no future being in a shelter so we arranged for her to come to Save A Dog to find her forever home. I'm Nala. I have a lot of energy when you first meet me but I also will look to you for direction, and for snuggles. I like to play, but I also like to be petted calmly to settle down. I am very playful and good with older kids, 6+ years old. I do jump a little still so smaller kids might not be good for me. If you do have kids under 12 you do need to have a fenced in yard. I like playing with other dogs but not cats. I'm a playful fun pup! Please come meet me at the weekend Meet & Greets after filling out an online application at www.saveadog.org.

Nelson
Nelson

Adopted

Nelson is an 8 yr old Yorkie mix who came to us looking for a forever home. He is very petite, weighing approximately 5 lbs. Nelson is very lovable to his people, but he needs a special small terrier-savvy home as he doesn't like strangers picking him up. Nelson walks great on a leash and loves his toys, and a real plus is that he is great with cats and is house broken. He sleeps in his crate in the foster home, but would love to sleep in the bed with his adopter. He has a lot to offer, but if he doesn't know you, then you can't just grab him or reach over his head to pet him -- remember he is only five pounds! He is currently staying with 3 other small dogs and gets along great with all of them, but if a new dog comes into the house, he has to put him through the ringer for a bit. Nelson doesn't act his age at all. He acts like a much younger dog. He is so playful and loves to carry his toys around like he has hunted them. He likes to settle down for naps on the sofa and be close to foster mom. He likes his foster Dad too. He needs a terrier savvy home without little kids. He can be a little terror sometimes but what can you do? He's a terrier! NELSON WILL NOT BE AT OUR MEET & GREETS. WE ARE HAPPY TO ARRANGE A PRIVATE APPOINTMENT.

Adopted

Pearl is a friendly, playful 2 year old female Aus. Shepherd/Collie/Beagle mix. She is crate trained and loves to play with her toys. She loves to go for long walks or go for car rides. She is a pro at chasing tennis balls although she hasn’t yet learned to bring them back. She does know down and sit already. Pearl is a sweet girl who likes to cuddle up next to her people or preferably sit on their laps! She is fine with cats and does not bother chickens or horses. She has had two homes that did not have time for her so we will find her one that will interact with her and take her for those long walks she loves. A part time worker or work from home situation. Pearl has not been with little kids so kids 6+ is best. She is sweet and affectionate. If you have kids under 12 you need a physical fence attached to the home. Please apply at www.saveadog.org.

Adopted

Hey there! My name is Snuggles and I'm a 6 month old spayed female pup who loves to play. I love the teenage volunteers at Save A Dog because they play with me, -- they also snuggle me too, which I love and that's how I got my name -- because I'm a SNUGGLER! I love kids and I'm probably best for 8 years and above as I like to jump sometimes. I'm learning my manners and will sit nicely for a treat. I'm fine with cats and I respect them. I would love another dog to play with but it's not a requirement. I just want a good home. I have a Dobie/Shepherd look, but I'm very petite. If you have kids under 12 we do require a physical fence. Come meet me!. Check our Web site for hours. Apply at www.saveadog.org.

Adopted

Stella is a sweet senior dog looking for a peaceful home. She is a local dog who lived with a male Shih Tzu. Both dogs co-existed, but didn't interact and she seems to like it that way as she seeks human attention over dog attention. She is friendly and gently playful. She lived with 2 older kids so she will be a great family dog with kids 8 and older. She is housetrained and loves her walks. She is great on leash and greets other dogs enthusiastically but gently. She is nervous in the car right now but with practice might be just fine. She was recently in a large, noisy shelter so is still a little shell shocked from that experience and hence is a little timid with new people gentle adopters would work out best for her. She does startle at noises so a quiet home is what she wants. She follows her fosters from room to room and settles in whatever room they are in. She is available to meet at our Weekend Meet & Greets so please fill out our application online.

Tui, 1 year Female Australian Shepherd
Tui
Tui   Tui

Adopted

Tui is a beautiful blue merle Australian Shepherd who just turned one year old. Her family was not able to give her the exercise that she needed and she became too hyper for their young children. We are assessing her energy level and expect her to level out with daily exercise, but we're looking for a savvy adopter who can provide this on a daily basis as well as reward-based training. She was not socialized with other dogs, but has done well with adolescent smaller dogs and with puppies. We prefer she go as an only dog and have her adopter slowly socialize her as she can get overwhelmed and scared with larger dogs. She loves to chase and play and loves to fetch. She will jump straight up in the air when she sees you, she gets so excited. She loves her toys and is attached to them but is not possessive at all. In the right home she will blossom and be a wonderful dog and we are committed to making the right match for her. We do want her to stay close to Sudbury so we can be available for training questions. We would love to find someone who is home part time and maybe willing to do agility or "fun work" because she is so bright. A fenced in yard would be best so that she can play off leash. Invisible fences are not for this sensitive girl.

Adopted

Willow is a tiny 9-10 week old pup from St Croix. She weighs 6 lbs but is already doing great on her house training. She loves to play and can entertain herself but she needs someone around. She is all puppy and very curious so needs to be watched carefully. She will need to have someone home to take care of her during the day and teach her all there is to being a puppy. Because of her tiny size, no children under 5, as she is could get hurt if dropped. If you have kids under 12 we require a physical fence our pups safe and so they can play with the pup or dog off-leash. Please fill out an application at www.saveadog.org
