shelter, brought in as a stray from the county dog catcher. He is a very sweet little boy.
He loves to run and he has a medium energy level. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs
(sumbissive with the dominate ones), not sure about cats and he adores children. He would be a
wonderful family pet.

Shorty has the makings for a trick dog. She is well mannered in your lap and just
soaks up every ounce of attention she can get!! A little jumpy for attention when
she has to wait her turn but is easily reminded with a gentle touch. She seems to

in the group. She loves tummy rubs and sitting in your lap or carried along wherever

This little cutie weighs about 20 lb. He is black with tan highlights
on his short wiry fur and a docked tail. He acts like a bouncy,
active Jack Russell Terrier but of course is larger and darker. He arrived at the shelter with
a red collar but no ID or chip - and no one claimed him. He is wonderful
in his foster home. A REAL character, in constant motion. He is a laugh a minute.

Bianca is a sweet cattle dog who came to Save A Dog from a WV shelter. She is shy at first, but oh so sweet and submissive. She and her littermate were devoted to each other, so she should be okay with another dog in the household. She loves to run around the yard, has herding instincts, but is also happy to walk at your side. She is the most adorable ACD we've seen in a long time with stunning markings. She's also quite small for a cattle dog with a height not more than your knee. She weighs about 30 lbs. if that. She's spayed and microchipped and ready for a forever home. She is crate trained too.

Ginger is a sweetheart, she loves everyone she meets. Her favorite activities are going for walks, fetching a tennis ball but most of all she loves to be with people and snuggle with them. She is crate trained and knows a few basic commands. Ginger loves kids so much she can be a little protective of them. If kids come over to wrestle, she will bark and if mom tries to squirt kids with the hose, she will lie down on the hose. She's a real loyal dog and cuddle bunny.

Shotgun is a young male at about 2 years old. He came to us from an
overcrowded WV shelter. He weighs about 45 lbs. and is just so calm and
sweet. He is very submissive and a little timid. He has really come out
of his shell in his foster home and is the happiest dog. He loves being
outside, absolutely loves to just hang out in the yard. He needs a yard
and he's really a people dog as he is not interested in playing with other
dogs as much as he is sitting by your side. He is mild energy level and is
an all-around super dog.

Curley is an energetic wire haired terrier who originated from a pet store and ended up being rescued from the adopter's home by someone who had two elder cockers. Curley was much too much for the older dogs and would not take 'no' for an answer when it comes to playing, so he is now looking for a new home. He was raised with a teenager so absolutely no small children in the household. He would not do well with a full time worker as he has a small bladder and needs lots of playtime outside the crate. He seems to be a purebred and has a nice temperament (for a terrier). Terrier-experienced applicants would be our preference as we want the next home to be his permanent home.

Hey there!!! My name is Jack and I have enough energy to propel me faster than a locomotive!! I prance, when I'm in low gear, just like a show doggie! My first family said I wouldn't stay in the fenced in area, but in foster care I never wanted to dig my way out to anywhere, because with lots of attention I'm real content. I love having other dogs around to play with and I have a big bark that is a good alarm that we have company! I can get pretty serious when it comes to dinnertime. I like to eat alone; but when reminded to share, I invite anyone to eat alongside me. I like to be snuggled and I love those words "GOOD BOY JACK!!"
