These pictures are their "before" pictures. When rescued they were matted from head to toe, to the point that they had be completely shaved. What they found under all of the matting was even more horrifying. These dogs are absolutely EMACIATED to the point that the volunteer groomer had to go in between bones to shave them. It breaks our hearts to think of what these poor sweet dogs have been through since they left, and we are baffled that they were allowed to get to this point. What happens NOW is most important, though, and we have promised Amy and Andy that they will never be neglected again. If you have a soft heart for animals and want to give this pair the opportunity to know what love feels like, PLEASE consider opening your home to them. They really deserve a happy ending. His first owner crated him too much so he hates the crate. Huxley, 3 months Male Wire-haired Terrier  Mix   Click on picture to enlarge Adopted HUXLEY FOUND A HOME! Huxley is a Fuzzy puppy available for adoption. We think the Mom is Shelly. Here's what his foster Mom says about him: Huxley is such a cheeky chap. He took a little while to warm up to being in a busy home, but has settled in really well and has now ventured into every room. He has played in the garden with both my children and our dogs and is very responsive when my dogs tell him to leave them alone for a while. He runs around, rolls in the grass, chases anyone who will play and even had a short splash in the paddling pool. He didn't hesitate to climb both up and down our outdoor stairs on the deck, from the house to the garden. He has a cute little bark which he uses when he gets very excited. Indoors he will sleep in his crate and play with any and all dog toys that he can find. To settle we gave him an antler and bully stick, which he happily chewed on. He eats with no fuss and quickly learned that when we took him outside we expected him to do his business.
