Adopted

Gemmi is a two year old corgi/spaniel/lab mix. She weighs 27 lbs. She is such a sweet girl who always wants to cuddle. She loves to get belly rubs and give kisses. She talks to you and she uses her paws like a Boxer. She's so darling, but can be head shy at first so a fenced in yard and a home with teens and up would be best while she transitions to her new home. Please fill out an application and come and meet this beautiful girl! She would do best with teens and up.

Adopted

Hi there, My name is Homer .I'm an 8 year old, (oops, I'm actually 7 years old) Saint Bernard mix, or at least that's what I've been told. I have one blue eye so could be something else. What matters is, that I'm a lovable boy and a good dog. I love people and am very loyal. Don't let my age fool you - I can be pretty active. I like going for walks, running in the snow, swimming, and playing with other dogs. But I am also just as happy hanging out while you do your thing. I love to cuddle and will snuggle up to you when you're getting comfortable on the sofa. I'm looking for a new home because I was too protective of a toddler and went after one of the other dogs who growled at the toddler. I have never been a threat to people. I prefer to be the only male dog in the household at this point. Please give me a chance to show you how much happiness I can bring to your life.

JJ was adopted in November, but is back due to a relative's allergies. She had been renamed to Trey and probably knows that name. JJ is a sweet cuddly girl who loves toys and is ready to play at any time. She does best with another medium to large dog to play with. She is house trained and leash trained. JJ gets along fantastic with kids, cats, and other dogs! She is sweet and gentle even when she plays. JJ is such a fast learner. She still likes to gather shoes or personal items but we are tempting her with lots of toys instead. Her favorite past time is spending time with the grandkids. JJ loves to snuggle too. You have to watch her video:

She's very acclimated to a home and respectful of cats.

Adopted

Jubilee is a two year old spayed, 47 lb Sighthound/Collie mix who came to New England with her pups. The pups found homes and now it's her turn. She is a people dog, has never met a person she does not want to give a kiss to, (including children, although very young children may be a problem because of her size). She will be an awesome fur family member for some lucky family as she's very affectionate and she's lived in a home -- she knows the drill already! She lived with a cat so is good with cats. She's 100% house trained and never an accident says her foster family. She is crate trained and knows the word "Cubby". She's an absolute love of a dog and loves to play. She is a really nice beginner dog. She had an injury where she is not always able to lift her tail, but her chiropractor sees this as an easy-fix and we're giving homeopathic remedies as well.

Adopted

Louie is a nine year old 4 lb. Toy Poodle who was rescued from a hoarding situation. He looks so cute after his make-over! He's still quite thin and is in foster care being hand fed to fatten up for his neuter surgery and dental. His coat is already much whiter than when he first came in. His foster Mom tells us that he is making good progress and he loves his food! He gets along well with the other two toy poodles in the home. Louie is working on his housebreaking skills and will need someone who is home a good part of the time to keep up his training. Due to his size and fragility, he needs an adult only home where he gets the love and attention he deserves. Another small dog is fine. Louie came from a hoarder. He's going to be a wonderful little dog for the right adopter. No large dogs or small children as he could get stepped on. Donations warmly accepted to help with the dental and neuter. He can be met via private appointment once we receive your application. Thanks so much!

Peanut, ~ 3-4 years Male Yellow Lab  Mix
Peanut

Adopted

Hi, My name is Peanut because I was a little peanut-sized pup when I arrived at my former owner's home as a very young pup. I grew into a beautiful Lab. My mother was a purebred Yellow Lab and my father was a Yellow Lab mix. Here's some things you need to know. I'm 3 or 4 years old. I don't bark unless someone is at the door. I do not tear or chew things up in the house while the family is gone. I have gotten in the trash twice but the trash bag had been pulled out and was sitting on the floor and not tied up yet. I have not gotten into the actual trash can. I walk fairly well on leash, but will pull a little (according to the wife). So far I've done well with other dogs, cats and children. With any dog, you have to keep my social skills up. I have never snapped or tried to bite anyone. I love to fetch, I love my ball and tug toys. I don't like to give it back too well, so I will need some training. I will bring my toy to you and try to put it in your hand for you to throw it for me. I don't like to play in water very much but I have not really had the opportunity. I do not guard my food and I am generally excellent in the house if taken out regularly but will have accidents if left for long periods loose in the house. I am crate-trained and I do not soil my crate. Loud noises do not seem to bother me at all. I ride in the car just fine but it doesn't happen often. My last family worked opposite shifts so I was not home that much without someone there. They had teenagers who helped with walking us dogs (I lived with a Beagle), but they all got too busy so they felt I could do better. Please don't let that happen to me again. I'm available AFTER 3/22.

Peyton

Adopted

Hi! My name is Peyton and I am a very playful yet loving neutered male Hound mix. Unfortunately my adoptive family brought me back because my brother and sister (6 years old) were allergic to me. I am 13ish months old and fully housebroken and crate trained. I love kids and am great with them but could be a bit much for some due to my size. I would do best with older kids or kids who are used to dogs as sometimes I forget my size/manners when playing, I am still a puppy after all. No cats for me. I failed the cat test. I would do well with a large fenced in yard (my nose takes the lead sometimes) or someone who would like to bike or run with me. I also did well in doggy daycare and played nicely with all the dogs there, but no cats, please ! I appear to like the water so may enjoy swimming in the summer. I do very well on a leash but am interested in other dogs when we are out for walks. My favorite toys are anything stuffed, which I do not destroy, and any treat dispensing toys such as a Kong. I like to see what is on your counters/tables but listen to NO and get down when told. I am working on not being so interested in the counter but it all smells so good! As is par for my breed, I love lounging on the couch/dog bed after a day of activity and will snuggle with you in bed if allowed. I would love to be part of your family!
It helps the shelter if you fill out the application online before coming to meet the dogs. Don't miss out on a nice dog.

Due to an illness in the family and mounting medical bills, they lost their home and had to live with relatives in another state. Savannah had a good home and is well socialized. She loves kids and other dogs. She will harass cats, but doesn't hurt them. Savannah could use some training as she has a few bad habits that are typical of a hound. She will steal food if left unattended on the counter. She is super well behaved out in public and has never growled, bitten or shown aggression towards anyone for anything. Breed experience or familiarity with the breed is a must. Large hounds cannot be let off leash. She has seasonal allergies.
