Mickey, ~ 8 weeks Male Dachshund  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted I'm Mickey, an 8-week-old Dachshund mix puppy. Our mom is Minnie (also available), who was rescued from a hoarding situation in Louisiana, but my siblings and I were born after that, so we have always known love and care. I'm in a foster home right now, and I'm doing great! I already sleep through the night for six hours at a stretch and am picking up housetraining quickly. I settle easily in a pen or crate while my foster humans are busy, and I'm a good eater. I love all toys -- especially balls -- and I play appropriately and happily with the other dogs in the home. Vegas, ~ 10 months Male English Bulldog/Heeler  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted I'm Vegas, a 10-month-old Old English Bulldog mix with a naturally bobbed tail. I have the markings and tail of the OEB, and a DNA test agrees! I'm doing great in my foster home: I'm 100% housetrained and very smart and attentive. My foster mom says I'm a friendly, loving boy and a delight in the home because I'm so well behaved; I settle easily in my crate and am calm during car rides. I also enjoy walking and running on a leash -- one of the volunteers recently took me to a 5k race to run alongside her, and I had a blast! I get along with all people, adults and kids alike. When working with a trainer, I learned new skills quickly. I've also started attending playdates, and I'm excellent with other dogs and take cues and corrections from older dogs well. Doggy Dates, the company that runs the playdates said, "Vegas was observed to have a great temperament and disposition, and he did well within the group setting. He loves playing with other dogs, big or small, and wants to say hello to everyone  he sees. His best friend is a small Schnoodle, but he has been fostered with big dogs and is very respectful of all canine pals. He loves cuddling and chewing on his bully stick. He is very gentle and great with kids and babies, making him a great fit for a family. Victor is happiest outdoors: he loves hiking and sunbathing but especially water and going for a swim! He is fully housetrained and will signal when he needs to go out, and he rides calmly in the car. He does have an old ACL injury in his hind leg that he receives regular chiro adjustments for.
