Adopted

Bean is a precious pup who had a rough start. He and his littermates were left in a box on the side of a major highway in Louisiana where a passerby picked them up -- four puppies crammed into a box with a hole in the top. They were brought to a convenience store, and LAMA, our sister rescue, was called. Bean and his siblings are sweet, playful, curious, and affectionate puppies. They are healthy other than currently being treated for demodectic mange, which they are near the end of, with fur growing back. We're looking for a holistic-minded adopter who realizes that demodectic mange is a treatable immune system condition that puppies get, often when vaccinated too young. Bean is ready for adoption anytime and will make a wonderful addition to any family. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

I'm Farrell, an almost 3-year-old Siberian Husky. I was discovered by our volunteers when they were picking up some rescued puppies from a doggie daycare, and luckily for me, they couldn't leave me behind! They saw right away that I was a friendly boy -- I loved playing with the other dogs in the daycare and was always asking the people there for belly rubs. My foster mom says I'm a sweet, mellow boy in the house. I love napping on the air conditioning vents, meeting new people and dogs, and going for walks (although I might chase a squirrel if I see one -- I'm a Husky, after all!). I'm very well socialized and good with children. I'm crate trained and happy to hang out in my crate when my foster family is out of the house; I also sleep quietly in my crate all night. Now all I need is my forever family! Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

Adopted

I'm Gunner, a 2-year-old, 63-pound German Shepherd mix. I was lucky to be saved from rural Texas, after having been abandoned with another dog who wouldn’t let me near the food rescuers left out for us. Even though I was starving and neglected, I showed my affectionate, outgoing nature right away. The Animal Control officer who worked with me in Texas said I am very smart – I picked up on routines quickly and didn’t even need to be leashed at the shelter because I was so well mannered. Noting my big heart, he said that once given a chance at a home, “Gunner will love the people in his life forever.” At Save A Dog, I have become a volunteer favorite because I am so friendly and happy to see everyone I meet. I have a beautiful dark coat and a sweetness that even my photos can't capture. I am clean in my kennel and get along with other dogs. On walks, I'm confident and walk well on a leash. I ride easily in the car, too. I'm athletic and love a good run, so I would make an excellent jogging or hiking partner. Might you be the special people who will give me the loving home I so deeply deserve? Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

The litter is currently being treated for demodectic mange, which they are near the end of, with fur growing back. Adopted

We're Blossom, Iris, and Wren, three of the sweetest puppies you'll ever meet! We are Pug/French Bulldog mixes and we're 10 weeks old and all about 5 pounds. We were unwanted puppies who luckily avoided the shelter down South and got a ride up to Save A Dog. Like all young puppies, we will benefit at first from a situation where someone is home much of the day. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp. Available after 7/2/24.
