Teddy is a special little guy who had a rough start. He and his littermates were left in a box on the side of a major highway in Louisiana where a passerby picked them up -- four puppies crammed into a box with a hole in the top. They were brought to a convenience store, and LAMA, our sister rescue, was called. Teddy and his siblings are sweet, curious, and affectionate puppies. Teddy has one quirk: x-rays showed he has an abnormally formed left hind leg. It's unclear whether he was born that way or was injured, but he compensates very easily for his "bow" leg and is just as playful as his siblings. The vet does not feel he needs surgery. The litter is currently being treated for demodectic mange, which they are near the end of, with fur growing back. We're looking for a holistic-minded adopter who realizes that demodectic mange is a treatable immune system condition that puppies get, often when vaccinated too young.
