Came in as a stray and was never claimed. Very nice dog. She is a medium dog on the smaller side. She is spayed and likely to be fully grown. She is playful, super happy and bouncy and has loads of affection to give. She was found as a stray in heat and entered the municipal shelter in Kershaw County, South Carolina. She was not claimed so she was released to be rescued. Dog4U picked her up and her optimistic personality was clear the minute they met her! She did great in play groups with other dogs and she only had one accident the entire time she was in foster care. She made it 8 hours over night without an issue, she was really exemplary with not destroying her blankets and not having accidents when crated. She walks nicely on a leash and is full of exuberant love. She is just such a happy dog, she never meets a stranger. Available 11/9/20. Rocket, 1.5 years Male Husky/Shepherd  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Rocket is a gentle, 1.5 year old husky/shepherd mix who is a recent return due the home not being the right environment for him. He's timid at times and is afraid of kitchen noises like the microwave, blender, and ice maker for example, but we're working with him to desensitize him. His crate is his safe place if noises frighten him. He would be best if you have dog experience with shy dogs. He's not at all aggressive or protective. For exercise, a fenced in yard would be great as he can be strong on leash. The Easy Walk harness works great with him. He's young so needs adequate exercise beyond just having a fenced in yard. He would love to go on walks and Hikes. He loves riding in the car. He doesn't have a huge prey drive, but might want to check out a squirrel. He's friendly with other dogs and neutered. Scamp is a quiet, affectionate young boy who weighs 33 lbs. He is pretty obedient already without any training and really wants to please you. He has a bit of puppy in him still and can be clumsy at times. We have hardly heard him bark or whine, but that could change. He likes to romp around outside and smell all the scents. He will gently jump up on you to get a good hug or a petting. He loves a good chew bone and likes to snatch another dog's bones away or hides his own bone from the others.
