Hi I'm Berry.
I was born on 7/29/17. I am from NC. My Massachusetts family went down to NC and brought me back, but didn't realize all that went into taking care of a puppy. I'm a really good puppy, easy going and well behaved. I'm crate trained and I can entertain myself with toys. I do need a stay-at-home to train me and socialize me. I'm doing well with house training.

I even try to fit the big tennis balls in my mouth. I am also good with other dogs and kids, and OK with cats. I am crate trained and housetrained. Hi my names Bruno. I am a neutered Miniature Pinscher who weighs 17 lbs. My previous owner said I was 2 years old however the vet said that based upon my teeth it seems like I am 5 years old. All I know is that I am a good boy looking for my furever home. I get along with other dogs and cats. I don't always like sharing my food. So it would be best that there aren't any small kids around that will stick their fingers in my food bowl. I love gong for walks and get very excited when I see my leash and harness. Copper is a 2 year old Beagle boy who weighs 22 lbs. He is smaller then he appears in photos. He is good with other dogs and cats and over all handling. He is high energy though so may not be good with all dogs. He also has a classic beagle bay. He is neutered and up to date on all his shots.
Doris is a gorgeous female Aussie / Bully mix with a blue eye and a brown eye. She is around 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. She is good with dogs and people. We don't know her history but it seems as if she's been in a home before due to the fact that she knows commands like sit, down and paw. Hi my name is Duffy and I am from Georgia. I look like a black lab but I only weigh 30lbs. I am also 9 months old. In Georgia I shared a run with multiple dogs and did great with everyone. I love running around and playing with other dogs! I also love people, and passed my cat test. Not sure if I am housetrained as I haven't been in a house before but I don't have accidents in my run at Save A Dog. I am a pretty smart dog who already knows how to sit and laydown. Gorgeous is a "Coconut Retriever" from St Thomas. She was evacuated off of the island due to hurricane Irma. Gorgeous is a very gentle, playful girl, loves squeaky toys and will chew on a bully stick. Great with all over handling.
Walks well on leash, no pulling, very friendly with other dogs we have met. She minds well and is totally housebroken, wants to know where you are in the house.
She sleeps on her doggie bed through the night until you're ready to take her out in the morning, not all all destructive for her young age. She's a total cuddle bug, looks for belly rubs.
She is heart worm positive but not contagious at this point. We would love to find someone interested in her who is willing to work with us on a more holistic method of ridding her of the heart worms. Gorgeous will make a wonderful addition to any family.

I need a fenced in yard to do my business as I feel too embarrassed to go on leash. I came from a bad hoarding situation in MA. Hi, my name is Hermione! Harry, Ron and I all came from a bad hoarding situation in MA. There were so many dogs where I was that I never really got any human attention, but now that I'm in a foster home I've blossomed. I'm completely house trained and crate trained, although might have a set back in a new home. I need a fenced in yard as I will not go to the bathroom while on leash. I'm the bravest of my siblings and I come up to people wagging my tail and sniffing curiously. I think teens and up would be best for me because quick movements and loud noises sometimes still scare me. Another dog would be ideal as I can learn from a more confident dog. I'm curious about cats, but would never hurt them. My foster mom says I need a "dog savvy" cat who will hold her ground. Humphrey is a small wire-haired terrier mix from St Thomas. He was evacuated off the island to Virginia due to hurricane Irma. He was dropped off at the St Thomas shelter the day before the hurricane hit. This poor dog has been through so much in the last week. He is however very sweet. This is Juju 5 year old neutered male Chinese Crested / Poodle mix who weighs 15 pounds. His family gave him up because of a skin issue, but he's cleared up on our Fromm food and probiotics. He's an incredibly sweet dog. He is housetrained. Good with kids, cats, and dogs. He has adjusted well in his foster home with several other dogs. Juju is available now! He would do best with a stay-at-home or part time worker as he gets very attached to his people.

Hi there, My name is Kenny and I'm a two year old Spaniel mix from TX. I'm already neutered and up to date on vaccines and microchipped. I'm 31 lbs of fun. I'm friendly and also cat approved. I love to run around in the yard and play. I've made lots of friends at the shelter and love to play with other small dogs. I barely shed! My foster mom says, "In the house and out in the outdoor kennel he has NOT destroyed and destuffed one toy. He shakes hard and does the kill thing but not one damaged toy or dog bed or towel and any personal items of ours. He is EXCELLENT in that department. Now if we could teach him to put all 50 plus toys away when done that would be amazing!" Please apply online as I am in a foster home.
Laiky is a one year old female Maltese/Poodle mix. She came in very frightened but is now outgoing and very sweet. She is now spayed, but will need a grooming in two weeks. As she has a limited history and is tiny, an adult home experienced with small breeds would be best. Available now.
Marley is a 2 year old female Maltipoo (Maltese-Poodle mix) who is from a Massachusetts shelter.
She has been doing very well in foster. She likes to gently put her mouth and teeth on your hand if she wants attention. Marley is housebroken and goes to the door if she needs to go out. She gets along with the foster dogs – she was possessive at first but has calmed down now. She does well when out meeting other people and dogs. Marley loves to ride in a car and will do a dance on her hind legs if she is happy or wants more attention. An adult home that is experienced working with small dogs is preferred.

Hi there, my name is Mickey and I am a sweet female Sheltie mix. I was airlifted from St. Thomas just before the latest hurricane hit. I am nervous when I meet new people which is understandable, as I've been through a lot in my short life. After a few days in my foster home though I am feeling much better. They have other dogs here which helps me with confidence, learning basic commands and housetraining. I am crate trained and getting better everyday with housetraining. I am very playful and loving running around in the backyard. I am very skinny right now so I am getting multiple small meals a day. On top of this I am heartworm positive. I can not be adopted until I am negative. Even though I am not ready right this second please fill out an online application if you are interested. Hi there, My name is Mike and I am a male Retriever mix. I was airlifted from St. Thomas to Virginia after hurricane Irma destroyed the shelter I was in. When I came to Save A Dog I was really thin but they have already fattened me up and I'm looking good. I have heart worm and am in the process of being treated so I am looking for the right home who can see me through the treatment. I am very very playful and I love chasing balls and doing zoomies in the grass. Because I am have puppy energy I would probably do best with teens and up or another dog to play with.

Her rescuer says, "Minnie's coming out of her shell. She was in a neglectful situation and has now discovered toys and if you rip at a pet bed, the stuffing will gleefully explode. So she's enjoying being a puppy. We can also vouch that she is good with deer. Not that you'd ever have to know that, but Joyce her foster, has a tame deer that visits and Minnie's grown accustomed to her being around and now ignores her." Hi, my name is Paisley and I am a 2 year old, spayed, beagle mix. I am currently living with my foster family and their 4 dogs that range from 35 to 100 lbs so I am very experienced when it comes to hanging out with other dogs, big or small. My foster family says I am the sweetest and most lovable beagle around. I love to be outside running around with my foster brother and sisters and sniffing everything in sight. Because of that I would love to have a fenced in yard so I can run and play safely. I love to go for walks and ride in the car and if we are not doing that I would love to cuddle up with you if you let me.
