Harley, 10 months Female Border Collie  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Harley is a wonderful 32 lb., ten-month-old female Border Collie mix, mostly Border Collie based on her energy, intelligence and other traits. She has been through basic AKC puppy training at about 5 months and did excellent. She will need additional training as she can be very excitable when walking and greeting visitors. Harley is very loving, but has a hard time knowing when to stop smothering you with kisses. She is extremely agile with chasing and catching balls toys, etc. She is great with older children and other dogs but may be too rough playing with younger children. Harley would thrive in a home with younger energetic family or couple, and would be perfect for activities like agility training, frisbee competition, etc. She was house trained early and is fully crate trained. Holly, 1 years Female Lab Retriever  Mix   Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Holly is a 1 year old tiny Lab mix who might be mixed with Whippet as she's lean and petite. She was abandoned at a local Tractor Supply. The manager called our sister rescue, LAMA, because she was trying to come inside. It was 100 degrees that day. She is super friendly and will fetch a ball and bring it back. She loves to ride in the car. If she knows she is going to the park she gets excited and will bark on the ride there but is quiet on the way back. She is really good in the crate during meals and overnight. She weighs less than 40 lbs. and is full grown. She has a heart murmur, but only a 2 out of 6. A volunteer took her for a walk, "She was fine ignoring a large ride on mower and cars. She did the stone steps next to the mill and the bridge with no hesitation. We walked about a mile and she could easily do more. She barked some on the way there, but jumped right into my car at the end of our walk and was quiet on the way back. She’s a lot of fun and really seemed to enjoy getting out!" He was with one owner since he was a puppy, including a nine year old child -- he loves kids. He's submissive with other dogs. He would be a natural for nose work. He suffered a broke femur when he was younger (hit by car). Tufts fixed the leg and did a beautiful job and walks fine, no limp, and you would never know it was once broken.
