Adopted

Bonnie is a single kitty who is recovered from a scratched cornea. The eye is healed and she can see, but it is opaque, as you can see from her photo. Her foster mom says, "She has such a sweet personality. She is easy going and gentle. She’ll climb into my lap for tickles.  She LOVES being handled and purrs loudly the second you touch her! She’s one of those special ones, that melts your heart!
" She can be placed as a single kitten, but we prefer she have another kitty to play with. Please complete the application at http://saveadog.org/available_cats.asp and download the CAT application or email us at adoptions@saveadog and we will email it to you.

Oreo has a thin blaze and Double Stuff has a thicker blaze, hence the name. Puppy Calculator guesses adult size as 50-60 lbs. They weigh 40 lbs. now. Adopted

Fuzzy is a young neutered Border Collie who our vet says is between 9 and 12 months. He is a very loving dog. He loves to be petted and he comes right away when you ask him to come inside. He loves to play and his treats. He is a sweetheart. He was dropped off at a disabled Veteran home and he reminded one of the veterans of a dog from his past and he let him stay. But he wasn't able to take care of him because of his disability. He decided that Fuzzy deserves an active family. Apply at http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp and we'll send you the next steps. Appointments come up quickly and you need to be ready to adopt at the time of the visit. If you have vacation plans, we are not able to hold dogs as we're overly full this time of year. Thanks for your consideration.

Harper is a two year old female Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. This is a much sought-after dog due to their gentle nature and good disposition. Harper fits the bill well. Adopted

Levi is a 5.5 month old male Bernedoodle rescued from a puppy farm. He is very sweet and just needs to gain some weight. He is a large breed dog who will need adequate exercise, preferably in a fenced in back yard as well as play groups to keep him socialized. He is too big for small children, but teens and up would be great. He's already neutered so will be to be on a supplement to keep his hormones balanced. He was shaved down before his neuter so this is his less than fluffy photo.

Opie was found with Otis by a nurse on her lunch break. These two pups were underneath a car seeking shade. One had a rope tied around his neck leaving rope burns (which are now healed). They were born we're guessing early March and weigh 28 and 32 lbs. each. You can apply to adopt at http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp. Appointments come up quickly and you need to be ready to adopt at the time of the visit. Adopted

Sage is a seven month old Lab mix who was adopted in April from Louisiana, but was recently returned as she was not a match for the family with a young child. A family with teens and up would be okay or a young couple or single who has time to adequately exercise and train an adolescent dog. She already knows Sit, Paw, Down, and Lie Down. If she had another dog to play with or play dates with your friend's dogs, she would be very happy. She rides well in the car and has been on long trips with her previous family. She is spayed and is house trained and crate trained. She currently weighs 50 lbs and has a little more growing to do. She is a very sweet dog and is available for adoption immediately.

Adopted

Timon is a seven year old neutered male whose family moved out of the country. He was raised with teenagers and has been with the family since puppyhood, so he is used to living in a home and is very good in the house. He has been to the beach and has been all over, living a normal life as the family dog. He's been boarded with other dogs when the family traveled. He is good with dogs. He is trained on invisible fence with a two acre back yard. He has not been exposed to cats. He weighed 61 lbs. at his last vet visit. In our meet-and-greet room, he greets visitors with a low tail wag and outside he ignores the puppies who bark at him. He has great social skills with people and dogs. What a nice dog! He has shorter legs like a Corgi, but not that short. Please apply at http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp

Adopted

Vinny is an energetic, loving, and social 1 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd/Retriever male who grew to be 75 lbs. He is just a little too large when playing with the younger/smaller children in the household (he's just a toddler himself). He's been well cared for in his home since he was a puppy so his coat gleams and he's in great health. We're looking for an adopter or family who can provide him with the exercise that he needs and training too. He is very intelligent and enjoys games, puzzles and figuring things out. He is fully house, and crate trained, enjoys playing fetch in the yard (with 2 or more balls), going to the dog park to play with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and enjoys belly scratches from new visitors. He has been around small animals. He's good with cats, but will sometimes chase chickens. He's good with dogs.
