I'm Alaska, a beautiful year-old white Lab/Husky/Shepherd mix. I was picked up running around a trailer park, and I came right to my rescuers. I'm a very people-focused girl who loves affection. I'm friendly and sweet, and I get along with other dogs. I passed the cat test too! I weigh 53 lbs. and I'm well-behaved in the car. I also passed the cat test! I have several scars from unknown injuries; since no hair is growing back, the vet thinks it was from an injury as a puppy. I was found on a rural road in Louisiana living in a culvert with another puppy, and I was briefly adopted but need more activity and space than my adopters were able to give me. I'm quiet for a hound, and I'm fully crate trained. I was also trained to signal I have to go out with a bell on the door. I'm an active girl who loves to swim, run, and play with toys. I like chewing on antlers, and I sleep overnight in my crate all night. I'm still young so would benefit from a home where I have room to run and more training. I have a sad story: I was found running in the middle of a highway, and although the rescue in Louisiana found my owner, he never came to get me – so I feel lucky to have gotten a freedom ride to Save A Dog! My Southern foster says I am loving and loyal and that I adapt quickly to new situations. I am housetrained and will alert to go out. I walk well on a leash and love to go for walks, I like playing with stuffed toys, and I get along well with other dogs, but I especially adore humans and bond with them quickly.
