She is a Golden Retriever who may be mixed with some Hound. She is 7 months old (as of 4/1) and will weigh around 65 lbs when fully grown. She is a real gem of a dog. She is focused on people and ready to please. Her desire is to shower you with affectionate and do whatever makes you happy. She is very gentle and loving. Jill's person sadly had to bring her to us. Her person had to move into restricted housing due to her age, and could not take Jill with her. Both were so sad about this. However, Jill is ready to bond and love again. She is such a wonderful, charming dog. She is very friendly and loves every one she meets. She wants to give lots of love and enjoys attention. She is quiet and well behaved. Her favorite thing is playing ball. She goes nuts over playing fetch and will catch the ball no matter what. Fetching is a real joy for her. She is intelligent, eager to please and attentive. She should train very well. She has been around kids and is very good with them. She has been a little bossy with the other dogs. She has not paid attention to the cats in the lobby. She was kept outside so she is probably not housetrained, but she should learn that quickly. The neighbors were not amused so the owners felt they must give her up. She's otherwise not a mischievous dog and we think she just learned to use a skill when she was bored. The owners did not think they could afford to fence in their yard and thought she deserved more attention than sitting home all day. We also think a fenced in yard would be great as she doesn't seem to be a jumper. She is 100% housebroken and can be left inside or out of a crate with no problems whatsoever. She is your typical low key longish haired retriever who could go with a senior citizen or a family with kids. She is perfectly housebroken and not a chewer so we think she might be closer to two. Her only vice is that she can jump a fence and likes to explore so will need to be leash walked (good as a city dog) or trained on invisible fence. She is unflappable in large crowds and would be the kind of dog you could take to an office as she will lie at your feet or go say hello to people with a low wag of her tail and a smile on her face. She was left at a rented house when her people moved because they could no longer afford to keep her. Poor Survivor was so sad and confused about this since she did no wrong. But she is more than willing to love and will quickly bond. Survivor is a Labrador Retriever mix who is 8 months old (as of 4/1) and weighs about 60 lbs. She is a very gentle dog who only wants to please. She is very submissive and will quickly rollover for a belly rub. She will benefit from a permanent home so she can build some confidence. She is partly housetrained, but still needs a little work. She is fine with other dogs. She is great with strangers (all are her friend). He could have some Australian Cattle Dog, Lab, Chihuahua or some short stocky dog in his genes. We believe that Erin (adopted in April) is his Mom since they came in together. We are unsure of his breeds, but we are sure he is one super dog. Tye is about 10 months old (as of 4/14) and weighs around 30 lbs. He has a happy, upbeat attitude and just takes everything in stride. He adores everyone he meets and can't wait to wiggle up to you. He was very happy laying in a lap.
