Lucy, 18 mons Female Border Collie  Mix Lucy is a collie-mix, tri-color, and a very good dog who learned to open a certain type of door so she would let herself out of her house and let herself in the neighbor's house. The neighbors were not amused so the owners felt they must give her up. She's otherwise not a mischievous dog and we think she just learned to use a skill when she was bored. The owners did not think they could afford to fence in their yard and thought she deserved more attention than sitting home all day. We also think a fenced in yard would be great as she doesn't seem to be a jumper. She is 100% housebroken and can be left inside or out of a crate with no problems whatsoever. She does not destroy anything or get into any trouble. She is great with kids and loves to play outside and run but is not high energy inside. She knows many commands and is a willing learner.
