His favorite thing to do is to play with his older brother. He loves the snow! He has the short legs of a Corgi but he is a mix of many breeds, just a Heinz 57. He was adopted from Save A Dog as a puppy and his adopters have had a change in work schedules and would like a better situation for him. Benny is house trained, crate trained, playful, loves toys, loves to chew on an antler or bone, loves his walks, and has been well-cared for. He is a great dog in a small package, weighing in at 22 lbs. He is full grown and was just neutered. We were both used for breeding and not treated as pets. I was finally surrendered after my last litter of puppies died due to lack of care. We both had to have patella surgery. I am a very resilient girl, and you will quickly see my outgoing, optimistic personality. I’ve been in a foster home with other dogs, cats, and children ages 2-12 -- I did great with them all. I’m housetrained and crate trained, I ride well in the car, and I’m polite on leash. My rescuers down South grew very attached to me and said I’m “a true lady.” Now all I need is a forever family to give me the life I deserve. I was surrendered after complications in my last litter of puppies, who came up north and were adopted. I had to stay behind because it was discovered I had two luxating patellas (dislocated kneecaps). I underwent surgery, and my rescuers say I made it through the recovery “like a super star,” remaining my cheerful self. I love all people, I get along well with dogs and cats alike, and I am great with kids and have lived in foster home with children ages 2 to 12. I was adopted as a puppy and have had an amazing home, but after the baby arrived my adopters have had health issues and aren't able to care for me. I'm a well-socialized dog, friendly, energetic, and smart. I who would thrive in a family that would take me hiking or running -- I love the outdoors and even ride nicely in a canoe! I'm in a foster home and doing great! I'm an easy keeper. I love going on walks and adventures, and I want to greet everyone I meet; my tail is always wagging! I'm friendly with other dogs and with children. My foster mom says I learned to heel and to leash walk in just a single day! I'm very clever and pick up new skills quickly, in part because I'm so treat motivated. I already have learned sit, down, and paw, and I'm working on come and stay. I would excel at agility work. Stella, 3 years Female Husky?  Mix   Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Stella is a spayed female, we think Husky mix with the most beautiful coloring. She's 3 years old and is in the 45 lb. range. She's fine with other dogs and has been good with the cats she's met at the shelter. Stella came in as an owner give up. Her previous owners had eight other dogs. Stella wasn't a fan of the shelter life for the first couple of days but she came around quickly. She loves to play, but loves to cuddle more. Her favorite thing to do is run at you and swing her butt into your lap. She has a tendency to roll over for belly scratches frequently and thinks that she is a lap dog. She has the typical husky talk, but uses it sparingly it seems. We have been working on our leash skills and tricks.
