Bambi, 7 months old Female Great Dane  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Bambi, formerly Sally , is a sweet, young pup who is going to need a large place to run, preferably a fenced in back yard. She will need training for jumping up, but we will work with her too. She is very Dane-like in her features and personality. Right now she's got kennel cough, but she will be spayed when it clears up. She loves being with people and doesn't like the crate, but she responds well to training and listens when you call her name. She loves playing with other dogs and despite her size plays well with dogs of all sizes and ages. We don't see any dominance or any other issues with her. Scarlett, 1 year old Female Vizsla  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Scarlett is a one year old very affectionate and people-focused Vizsla-mix. She was rescued from an inner city dog pound where she was literally starving to death (at least 30% below adequate weight for her bone structure) due to kennel stress. She had been at the pound for six weeks and her time was coming to an end one way or the other....euthanasia or starvation. Two of our Save A Dog volunteers who were at this facility to rescue another dog, became aware of Scarlett's plight and decided to give this unfortunate dog a second chance. This loving and playful girl is now fully recovered. She is medium sized, well nourished, spayed, housebroken and crate trained. Her one and only issue is that because of her early and very frightful life on the streets, she is not dog friendly and will need to be an only dog. Scarlett is an awesome companion. She loves to ride in the car as well as play fetch with a tennis ball or a rope bone. In short, she just likes to be with "her person" whether that means playing couch potato or playing ball. She is a young greyhound mix, probably between 1-2 years old. She is medium sized as she's probably mixed with hound (hence the name Snoopy). Although one of her pups looking very pointer and the dad has no pointer in him so we're thinking pointer, possibly with whippet. She's medium-sized. She is a sweet dog and a good mom to her pups, not protective but she checks in on them and plays with them. We think she deserves a quiet home after raising such a large litter. His Mom is a purebred Labrador and Dad is a purebred Australian Cattle Dog. He was brought to us along with his two siblings since his person couldn't find him a home. He was kept outside, so he is not housetrained, however, he is ready to learn! Whiskey is very well socialized and enjoys being with people. The kids in the home played with these puppies a lot. He is very healthy with a cute, fat puppy belly. Whiskey is a real smooth and can charm any one. He knows how to give you the "poor, pitiful me" look and quickly win your heart.
