Capri is a feisty one year old small white Lhasa/Maltese/Terrier mix who is looking for a home. He has a lot of personality, but has the feisty "terrier" personality. He can guard his toys and food, so an experienced home would be best. He has the lighter colored eyes. He's shaved but will need regular grooming so he doesn't get mats. Please figure in the cost of grooming when determining if non-shedding breeds are for you. He has lots of personality and is a live wire so would be best without kids and in an experienced home who can get him right into training.
Capri will be at our Saturday meet & greet from 11am - 2pm.

Charlie is a nice long-haired large breed, probably a Saint Bernard mix. He looks to be 9 to 10 months old so has some growing to do. He is possibly mixed with Leonberger as he has the coloring. He is a Beautiful dog and is very sweet. He weighs 72# and still needs to gain weight. NO CATS, he chases. He will need a fenced in yard. He is too forward for other dogs and some don't like it, but it's because he's a big puppy. His foster mom says, "Charlie is a cuddly, lovable big puppy. He is very playful and social, loves children and people. He wants to be where his people are in the house. He’s great with all over handling.
Loves going for walks and wants to play with other dogs he meets, but he does rub them the wrong way. He walks well on leash, no pulling.
Loves to chew on a bully stick for downtime. Crates well and sleeps all night in the crate without a peep.
Charlie is totally housebroken."

Jade is a female Mastiff / lab mix who was listed as a pit bull but she has Mastiff features. We were told she also has Chocolate Lab but she doesn't have the Lab energy. She is a gentle soul who is REALLY sweet. We're showing you her "before" picture as she was from a "rescue" who took dogs from shelters for the sponsor $ and then tied the dogs out in the woods with sporadic feeding and watering. Lumberjack Rescue stepped in and saved her. It is a miracle she is heart worm negative. She is good with everyone she meets. Right now she's in our shelter and we would love to get her a home ASAP. She deserves the cushy life from here on out.

Lola is a 3 years old lab/pyrenees mix, approximately 55 pounds. She loves people and will need to be taught not to jump up. She wants so badly to connect with people and have them stay with her that she jumps up and even wraps her paws around them as if to claim them and their attention. She seems very smart and would learn quickly and responds well to kindness. She wants to please! She was interested in a small kitten in a cage in the lobby, but when allowed to go close, she didn't seem to want to harm it but just to see it. It may have been the first cat she had seen and she wanted to investigate. Lola is a pretty dog with cream-colored hair and brown eyes. She will be a great family pet with just a little patient training and love. Your love will be returned! History: Lola came in with a chocolate lab named Louie, both surrendered by an elderly couple who could no longer trek to the outside building where they were kept to feed and care for the dogs. She arrives 12/15/18 and will be available after 12/18/18.

Petey is a one year old Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua mix who originated from rural WV. He weighs 8-10 pounds and is travel size. He was briefly adopted and was returned because the family said he bonded with the daughter but not the son. In his defense he had no issues before he got a vaccine, which is known to cause issues. We're looking for a dog-savvy adopter who knows small dog behaviors and hopefully someone who is at home part of the day. He has the Chihuahua head and Italian Greyhound body. Petey will not be at Sat's meet and greet, 11/24, as he is in foster care prior to his neuter surgery.

Ranger is a house trained 18 month old Wire-haired Terrier mix. He is a very playful people loving dog, gets along nicely with other dogs but will aggravate CATS AND BIRDS. He rides nicely in the car and is well behaved in the house. He loves being outdoors. Ranger is true to his breed, terrier through and through. He is a very sweet fun dog and very comical. He does have a hitch in his back right leg. Vet said most likely from an injury as a puppy that never had the proper care, but he can run like the wind so don't get talked into needless surgery!! He was a stray so not much history. He weighs 38#. He was briefly adopted and returned because the elderly dog was not happy with him.

Roxie is an 8 year old pug who just came into our care and soon after arrival she passed a large bladder stone! We had our veterinarian examine her and it was determined that Roxie will need to have bladder surgery to remove the rest of the stones. She is a sweet girl that would love someone to spoil her. We are hoping that we can put her up for adoption soon, but need to provide her with medical care first. Donations are much appreciated.

Stacey and her sister Michelle are two pups that were thrown away in a dumpster when they were less than a month old. They were still nursing. It was pouring that day, and the two tiny puppies were tossed around by streams of dirty water. The pups were crying which drew attention of a lady who called a local rescue. This rescue was overflowing with dogs, and is run by two ladies with not much help from outside, but they still took the girls. And then they bottle fed them every 2 hours, and nursed them back to health. Both girls are very friendly and playful and love to be near people. No phone calls, please.
