Adopted

Barney is an 11-year-old wire haired terrier mix who was rescued from Indiana after his long-term owner passed away. He was briefly adopted shortly after coming to Save A Dog, but the resident cat did not like sharing the home with Barney, so he is back to finding his forever family. Barney is looking for someone that loves to hike followed by a nice night full of Netflix on the couch. One of his absolute favorite things to do is jump in the car, get clipped into his doggy seatbelt, and feel the wind on his ears. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing with the two small dogs in his foster home. If you are looking for a co-pilot to share some outdoor adventures Barney is your man. He is fully house trained, hates to miss a meal and will be your constant companion around the house. If you are unsure about adopting a senior dog- don't let his age fool you as he acts like a playful puppy: CHECK OUT THESE VIDEOS OF HIM PLAYING WITH HIS FOSTER BROTHER: https://m.youtube.com/shorts/g-JkhXTbeR0 https://m.youtube.com/shorts/Erj_-wM4y2c If you are interested in meeting Barney, please fill out our online application at www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

He's a good boy. He's a friendly dog and will chase a ball, somewhat, but he prefers belly rubs and sniffing new smells. He loves his walks twice daily and would certainly love more.
