She is a very playful five month old Husky/Shepherd pup who weighs 25 lbs. She is extremely loving but can be timid at first meeting. Sammie is full of energy! She needs room and freedom to play! She will not walk on leash -- she will lay down so a fenced in yard will keep her safe while you're leash training her. She is crate trained. Fosters tell her “kennel” when it is time to go in her crate. She goes outside to do her business. Sammie has been extremely well behaved. She would attempt to chew on the furniture, but that is typical puppy behavior that can be redirected with an appropriate chew toy. Sammie would do best in a teens and older home. She weighs 75 lbs. She has lived in a consistent loving home with the same Boston family since she was adopted as a puppy from Save a Dog as part of large litter of Pyrenees-Labradors from Tennessee all adopted locally and reunited occasionally. She grew up in a single family home with a small fenced backyard in Boston, with 2 teenage boys and their friends in her household, taking twice daily walks during the week, and off in the woods of New Hampshire for hikes and cabin overnights on weekends. Her nature is sweet, charming, and loving. She is housetrained and is comfortable being left alone during the workday when her owners are off at full time jobs. She is very calm at home and a low key presence. Her eating habits are consistent. She fits in harmoniously with other dogs at a dog sitter where she has stayed occasionally over the years.
