Adopted

Bam Bam is a very sweet, laid back boy. He is such an old soul and so very loving. He has a shaved patch on his back that will grow in as he was treated for heart worms. He is one of the most gentle and loving dogs you will ever meet. He was worth all our efforts. He is now heart worm negative and needs to find his own family that will love him. Bam Bam is great with cats and totally housetrained. He is not a barker. He loves the company of other dogs and takes his ques from them especially around new people. He is somewhat insecure home alone so another dog or a stay-at-home human would be great. He does like to play but not all the time, so not a puppy friend. As far as his health, he seems healthy but is just recovering from his heart worm treatment, and he still has ehrlichia (a tick disease) so he's going to show as a very laid back dog. His energy level could pick up as he starts to feel better. He's a very gentle soul, but does need some TLC. We are a holistic shelter so we've already started him on supplements and a nutritious diet and we would want any adopter to continue that protocol. For all he's been through, his coat is healthy looking. He is available 3/29. Please fill out an application if you are interested in meeting him. P.S. Donations will help us cover his heart worm treatment.

Her foster mom writes, "Ellie is so sweet. She walks really well on leash and loves to sniff and doesn't pull. Ellie is a joy when meeting other dogs. She loves other dogs and is very gentle and sweet when approaching new dogs. Ellie loves to car ride with our small spitz. They curl up in their dogs beds and think car riding is relaxing. Ellie plays so well with all 3 of our dogs in our fenced in back yard. They play tag and tug o war and she is so gentle. During the day Ellie will take a nap by my feet during office work. At night she sleeps on a dog bed in the same room as our English Setter mix. She has had only a few accidents the first few days and now that she has settled in she makes it through the night. Ellie is so quiet and hasn't barked yet, but when she is tired she makes this adorable sounding puppy yawn. Sometimes she paces at night telling us she is ready for bed. She will curl up next to you on the couch at night and then settle down quickly for bed. She is so smart and has already learned "sit" and "come" and we are working on "stay". She adores our teenage female neighbor and our tween niece. Ellie is shy of men but is making progress." We know she would do best with another dog who can bring her out of her shell. STILL REVIEWING APPLICATIONS AND WILL NOT MAKE DECISIONS UNTIL AFTER SUNDAY MEET & GREET. Beyond exquisite, no one would ever believe she doesn't have a home! Holly is a GORGEOUS Siberian Husky (mix?) who is approximately 18-20 months. She weighs 45 lbs. but needs to gain some weight as her ribs are showing. She has the most AMAZING personality! She will play with any dog. When she was fostered she played with everyone and looks out for all the dogs in the foster home. HOLLY'S JOURNEY. Sweet Holly was rescued from a TN animal shelter and was coming to MA to find her home then it was discovered she had heart worms and needed immediate treatment to save her life. It has been a long road for Holly, first being at the shelter for so long, then the painful treatments and isolation while recovering. this breed does not do well with isolation, or being inactive so it has been very difficult for her. She has been in 3 different foster homes during her ordeal, each helping her in different ways so we know Holly very well from several perspectives. Holly is full of joy, everything and everyday is wonderful to her. She does not have a mean bone in her body that we have seen. She likes the dogs in all her foster homes, and loves nothing more then to play and play, then come in and flop down under foster moms feet for a nap. Holly would do best in a calm home, she picks up on the energy around her and will react in kind. if the house is in chaos, Holly is in chaos. If the house is calm, Holly is calm. Holly is an excellent dog park candidate, she accepts and will play with any dog big or small and she adjust her intensity to the other dog, She has done well with foster cats, although she is curious following sometimes, as if she wonders, do they want to play? She has used a dog door and learned very quickly how to let herself in and out, and has had no accidents in the house. Holly wants so very much to please humans and will look to them for guidance. She will not be a dog for just any family as she is a high energy working breed, and will require exercise and a fenced yard. She would be miserable and sad locked in a crate or home alone all day. Breed experience would be awesome, but ability to enrich her life with time, affection, and training is most important.

Josey, 2 years Female Lab/Hound Mix Fabulous with cats, dogs, kids and she's completely house trained! Josey has such a strong desire to please and is learning quickly house rules. She will need consistency and boundaries to continue her success. She has mastered how ‘sit’ and is learning to ‘stay’. She rides well in the car and wants to go every where with you. She gets along with the other dogs and loves to play with them. Josey is also good w/cats, she enjoys the cats as much as the dogs. She would be happiest not being left alone for long periods of time. She really craves human companionship and has so much love to give. Here's what her foster mom says about her - "She is a counter surfer and is always looking for food, she hasn't touched anything in the house. She sleeps in my bed at night and doesn't move all night. I think her desire to shred and eat things only happens when she is alone. The first night she was here, she slept in the crate in my bedroom and she slept in a dog bed and didn't touch it, so I let her have it when I went to work the next day and she shredded it to pieces. I think she hates to be alone. She follows me everywhere and has to be right by me though she has gotten to the point where she can stay in another room when I take a shower. And she is the sweetest, most loving little dog and really tries hard to please. It is just that all those smells in the kitchen get to be to much and she has to surf. And when the kids across the street are playing outside she just has to climb up into the bay window to check to see what they are up to. She loves kids! I think she needs a stay at home, with a fenced in yard, and someone who can provide adequate exercise. She really does want to be good. It is just so hard. But she is really the sweetest, most affectionate, loving dog. Once she gets over greeting me when I come home, she calms down and is really good in the house. Usually just curls up beside me on the sofa and loves to sit in my lap. And she is good with my dog and doesn't get in her face and is also good with the cats. She is just one of those dogs who needs someone to go the extra mile for this very sweet dog." Josey is a good girl but she chewed up an extension cord and had to have it removed, so we are still raising funds to pay her medical bill.

She was cared for and won their hearts but unfortunately they could not keep her. This little beauty is just a joy to have around. She is gentle and gets along very well with other dogs. She has not bothered the resident cats. Her foster mom says: We have been working on ‘leave it’, and in her short time here, she is making progress. Excellent cuddler. A very light eater. Loves to play with all my dogs – and all the toys that are strewn about the house and the yard. She sleeps in the crate; eats in the crate; has her down time in the crate. Extremely curious, but not easily frightened by household noises like washing machines, TV’s, vacuum cleaners, etc. Working on ‘sit’ and no jumping, and she is showing excellent advances. She is a great medium size for the home, but she enjoys a yard to wander and sniff. She loves the out doors so a physical fence is a requirement for her forever home. He is GREAT around kids, will play catch till your arm falls off. He is a total snow bunny and loves a good belly rub. He will jump up on people to greet them at the door so 10 and up is best -- he just gets very excited and jumps up. When you leave, if left to his own devices, he sometimes gets into things (trash, the couch if something is left under the cushion, etc.) He's very loyal, great around other dogs and not too bad on a leash when you use a harness. He's never met a dog or a sprinkler that he hasn't loved! He's an amazing dog and needs a big yard and someone who can spoil him! His owner says: "When we had our son recently our Landlord decided not to renew our lease for the house we were living in and we were forced to move into an apartment. My husband and I feel that this situation is not fair to him. He's accustomed to being able to roam in and outside a lot during the day and to be cooped up in such a small space just seems horrible. It breaks our heart to research other options for him but we I believe he needs a forever home that can spoil him and take care of his energy with more than two walks a day." If you feel you are a match for Rosco, please fill out our online application so we can learn more about you and if you seem like a good match, we will arrange for you to meet him at our adoption facility. Adopted

Hi there! My name is Tanker and I am a year old and lots of fun. My mom was a stay-at-home, but now must work long hours so I need a new family. I'm a good boy. I know how to sit, lay down, high five, give paw, stay, come and hug. You can put a treat in front of me and I will wait to get it when you say so. I will stand on my back paws when you tell me UP. I love to play outside and enjoy going for runs or walks. I love car rides and will stick my head out the window. My favorite toy is a ball. I will entertain myself and will also bring a ball to you to throw for me. I am just the perfect dog. I am mostly Boxer, but I have a little Australian Shepherd and possibly some bird dog thrown in. My sibling looks like a bird dog. I only have a few of the bird dog spots. I love to play with other dogs and get excited when I see them. Cats are an unknown. I am house trained, and will go to the door and bark to let you know when I need to go. I was raised with kids and love them. If you have kids, a fenced in back yard will ensure I stay safe from the road. Please fill out an application to speed the process. I just know that the right home is going to come along soon, so don't miss out on me. P.S. I weigh around 50 lbs.
