Charlotte, 11 wks Female Border Collie/Corgi Mix Adopted |
|
Charlotte is one of a litter of pups who came up on an Indiana transport. She is an adorable puppy and
very affectionate. She's also very small, either a corgi or terrier mix. They said the mom was a small
lab and the father was a border collie. They are not lab, unless very watered down. One pup has a corgi-like
foot so we're thinking maybe some corgi. We can't guaranty size or breed, but they are pretty small. She got sick so is a little smaller than her siblings, but she is eating well and making
up for lost time.

Delite, 3 years Female Beagle
|
|
Adopted
Delite is a 3 yr old beagle female who was just spayed on Friday, 2/8/08 and available upon recovery. She was a field trial beagle who is now looking for a family to love her. Delite travels well, leash broken, not too bad a puller, loves other dogs and kids, never been an escape artist, very affectionate, loves to be groomed. Like any typical beagle, she can be a barker when she sees you coming........she likes to talk to you for your attention... Her foster mom says, "She is a funny little dog, and she is in love with Scotty. Her beagle squeaking seems to be when she is happy or sad. The stronger the happy or sad, the squeaking sometimes becomes a bay. We moved the crate up to our bedroom, so she isn't barking at night any more. And during the day, if I leave her with cloudy, she doesn't Bark." She was in a heated kennel so she was not previously house trained but has had no accidents in her foster home so far. She's never been a chewer..she is little and compact...and really really a dark BLACK color... She is quite cute. She is built low to the ground so when you see her you will think Bassett, but she is a beagle. These dogs tend to be great with kids, even small ones!

Lily, 7 yrs. Female Yorkshire Terrier Mix
|
|
Adopted
Lily is a sweet, 7 yr. young blonde Yorkie mix. She is very sweet, a bit timid at first, but warms up fairly quickly, and tends to take to one person. However, she loves attention and tends to make the rounds to other family members who are available to snuggle with. We were told Lily prefers women to men and children, but she doesn find with older teens if they are low key. She startles easy, but you have to remember, she's lost her home and being turned in has been an upheavel of her life. We think she would do best in a single woman and or couple household that does not have alot of children coming and going (ie grandkids) and she would LOVE to have an owner who was a stay or work at home! She would love to be an only dog, but is timid with other dogs but settles in fairly well (with small size dogs in her foster).
Lily knows basic commands such as "come", and begs. Her pictures really dont do her justice. She is adorable and will make the right adopter a wonderful companion. She is a typical terrier and has energy to spare. She likes to play including fetch her squeaky toys. Her previous owner gave her up because they were gone long hours and just didnt have the time to give her.
Yorkies have a life span of approx. 17 years, so Lily has plenty of living and loving to do, and is anxious to find her forever home with the right adopter who can shower her with the love and attention she deserves, for the rest of her life. If you think you're the right person, please fill out an application

|
Adopted
Ella is a 4 month old female pup who was born to an English lab who mated with a male Australian Shepherd. She is playful and joyful, a real cuddler, shy at first, but warms up. She is smart. She has a gorgeous, liver-colored coat that is longish in length. She is on a holistic diet with lots of supplements to keep her coat beautiful. She has completed puppy shots and has her rabies. She is not spayed as we don't want her to have the issues that result in early spay, so please wait until she is developed properly and we will give a rebate to help. She will be at Russell's Garden Center in Wayland on Saturday from noon until 2 if she's not adopted beforehand.

|
Adopted
Keebler is an Australian Shepherd/Lab mix pup. Mom was an English lab who mated with a male Australian Shepherd. He is 4 months old now. He is very smart, extremely, like a border collie. He is very playful. He is too much energy for young children, but would be awesome with tweens or teens or adults. He can't sit alone at home all day, but could last 3 hours tops. This dog needs a lot of enrichment and play. He's very much a puppy who deserves a dog-savvy home. He won't disappoint you. He is crate trained. He is on a holistic diet with lots of supplements so his coat just shines.

Mix

|
Adopted
Nelly is one of a litter of pups who came up on an Indiana transport. They said the mom was a small lab and the father was a border collie. They are not lab, unless very watered down. Nelly looks more border collie than the rest. She is lively and ready for a permanent home. They were on Nutro puppy food and we're switching them to Merrick Puppy Plate, which has organic ingredients and no imported ingredients. We also recommend putting enzymes and probiotics and vitamin C to build up their immune systems.

Sara, 7+ yrs Female Pomeranian
Mix
|
|
Adopted
Sarah is a 7-8 year old Pom who is in need of a new home. She is a delightful dog, confident like a typical Pom, wonderful with people, and perfect in the house, is housetrained, and trained on invisible fence. We would prefer she not be on invisible fence, especially as she did not have a good experience on it. She knows obedience commands and will wait for her food until you give her the okay. She can "sit pretty" on her haunches. She is safe in the house during the day, never chews anything up, she's left home alone until 3 pm each day and never gets revenge on the owners. She runs like the wind so some young couple, maybe with an owner that would take her running, would be great. She's a peach on a leash and loves to snuggle up. She is afraid of thunder but she'll snuggle up with you until the storm passes. She is in a foster home with several other dogs and tolerating them but she really has no interest in other dogs. She wants to be with the people, so she is not a dog to get as a friend for another dog. She just wants to be with people. She is available to be seen for private appointments once we receive your application. She is a delightful little dog!

Adopted
Templeton is one of a litter of pups who came up on an Indiana transport. He is tan with a black/white speckled mask. They were taken directly from their owner to a foster home until they were old enough and then brought up to Mass. They are adorable and lively and seem like they're going to be small dogs. They said the mom was a small lab and the father was a border collie. They are not lab, unless very watered down. One pup has a corgi-like foot so we're thinking maybe some corgi. We can't guaranty size or breed, but they are pretty small. They were on Nutro puppy food and we're switching them to Merrick Puppy Plate, which has organic ingredients and no imported ingredients. We also recommend putting enzymes and probiotics and vitamin C to build up their immune systems. He is available to meet by private appointment once we receive your application.

Roscoe, 4 years Male Golden Retriever
Mix
|
|
Adopted
Roscoe is a Golden Retriever mix who is a beautiful dog, born May 15, 2003. He was neutered at one year and is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. He gets along great with everyone and has been with male and female dogs. He wasn't raised with children so we recommend teens and up. He gets walked every day at his foster home, so he is doing well on leash. He is very affectionate. He rings the bells when he goes to the back door to go out, so he will let you know. He was raised by a single woman and was not exposed to too many men or children. He is just shy with them, but not aggressive. He is an extremely submissive dog and will go belly up if another dog is the least bit dominant. He is in a home with tweens and is great with the kids, but is shy with the Dad, although he's warmed up considerably. He loves to chew on a bone or toss a ball or just to chill with his people. Applications sent ahead of time will be printed and reviewed with you at the event.

Gucci, now Marley, 7 months Female Labradoodle
|
Adopted
2/13/08 Gucci has a clean bill of health and can finally play with other dogs, so she is having a ball. At this time, we'd like her to go home. It's been fun, Gucci, but you finally need to go to your forever family. We thank all her sponsors and her fan club. She is a wonderful dog, a jokester, smart, lovely, and will make someone very happy. Hopefully that person will follow through with her training and holistic program so that she remains strong and healthy.
1/31/08 Gucci gets several 2 mile walks a day with lots of hill work to build her leg muscles. She will need an adopter to continue this regime and to keep her on the raw diet. For at least another six weeks she cannot play with or wrestle with other dogs so that she doesn't reinjure herself. She is doing great and the limp is 90% gone.
1/25/08 Gucci is healing wonderfully and started physical therapy yesterday. The vet is pleased with her progress and says if we keep up the protocol she should be a new dog in two months.
1/19/08 Update: Gucci has done remarkably well on the holistic protocol. She sees the vet on the 22nd and begins Physical Therapy in Natick on the 24th.
12/26/07 Update on Gucci: She is continuing to improve using Chinese Herbal Medicine, acupuncture, and ozone. She has another 3 weeks of confinement, then can begin physical therapy.
Gucci was born 7/3/07 and is a female Labradoodle, up to date on shots, owner surrendered ....they were moving and couldn't take the dog! She is a bit of a clown and recently injured her leg by jumping off a deck. An exray indicated a possible cruciate ligament tear, but our vet thinks possibly a growth plate weakness and possibly a slight case of pano. We will consider a holistic home only. She is undergoing physical therapy in Natick so the adopter must be in close proximity to her PT. She's got a fabulous personality but is extremely mouthy, so kids under teens are not a good idea. Someone with training experience, who has successfully trained a dog through adolesence, would be our first choice. Anyway, sponsors are needed to help with her treatment. We will update you as to her progress.

Max, 5 years Male Bichon
|
|
Adopted
Max is a five year old Bichon who is in need of a new home. He is peppy and adorable and you would never know he is five. He has been well groomed and cared for. His only issue is a flea allergy which caused a skin problem and hair loss around his tail as a result. We are putting him on a holistic protocol of fresh foods and giving him supplements to help the fur on his tail grow back. We are hoping for a stay-at-home or part time worker to ease his adjustment and a holistic-minded adopter. Bichon experience would be a plus.
