He was sitting in a WV shelter that euthanizes for lack of space. He was rescued in the nick of time. PRAYERS ANSWERED! Mickey is a 3 year old Shepherd/Catahoula mix who came up from Louisiana. He was heart worm negative down south, but subsequent tests showed he was positive so he is being treated. His adopter returned him because he was difficult on leash when meeting other dogs. Back in his dog-experienced foster home, he's not having a problem, just some initial anxiety when meeting other dogs. Mickey's foster mom says, " Mickey is a very cuddly boy who loves to be with his people. He is very compliant, eager to please sweet soul. He loves walks and does well on leash, upon meeting a couple of neighborhood Mickey showed a little anxiety initially but ended up play bowing with them, so he is gaining confidence. He is totally housebroken, sleeps through the night. He knows commands; sit, stay, come. He enjoys chasing after a ball or squeaky toy. He is truly a great companion to have around.
