It is inconceivable to us that anyone would dispose of such a beautiful dog. He is submissive to people and dogs. He plays nicely with all dogs. Buddy, 7.5 months Male Black Lab  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Buddy is a Black Labrador Retriever mix who is about 7-1/2 months old. He was brought to us by his person who was moving to a place that doesn't accept pets. A sad situation that happens too often. Buddy just doesn't know how his person who he loved could leave him behind. However, he is more than willing to open his heart again. Buddy is mostly black with some white on his chest. He weighs about 30 lbs and will grow to be between 50 and 60 lbs. He is just wonderful and has the best personality. He is one happy dog who rarely stops wagging his tail. He enjoys every moment of the day and immediately makes you an instant friend. He is well mannered and quite calm for his age. He is an affectionate dog who gives doggie kisses. Dancer, 4 years old Female Bloodhound  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Dancer is a very sweet dog who looks like a petite Blood hound. That's because she has some Plott hound in her. She is about 4 years old and was a stray dog wandering around in the cold until someone took her in. She is excellent with children, very gentle and house-trained too. She is a beauty and she loves the puppies we have. She follows them around making sure nobody gets hurt and she lets the puppies jump all over her without batting an eye. She weighs 56 pounds. Dancer had eye surgery to correct a condition called entropia in both her eyes. This does not affect her sight, but it keeps her eyes from gettin irritated by the lashes growing the wrong way. She is very good with the other dogs and enjoys playing with them. She passed the temperament test with flying colors. He is leash trained and house trained and goes to the door to go out. He is also crate trained and he knows Sit. He was given up because his owner was unemployed when he adopted him, then got a job which took him away for long hours. He couldn't see crating him all that time and we feel he made the right decision. So please, be someone who can spend the time. Someone with flex hours or a part time worker would be great. Tonya, 5 mons Female Lab / Whippet  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Tonya is a 30lb. light and lively ball of fire!! Almost 6 months old,she is active outside, running and chasing leaves in the wind and sticks on the ground. She plays with all her many squeaky toys at the house, going from one to another, throwing them up, running back and forth, shaking them etc--she is such a puppy! She crates well, again surrounded by toys--she is the most self amused dog you will ever know. She is a great companion for other dogs, all people, has a good appetite, almost completely house trained ( an accident or two until you know her habits), is very Velcro, comes when called, and loves to snuggle, sits for treats, needs lots of exercise to blow off her puppy steam. She is still a tad mouthy when excited but does not destroy furniture etc--as long as her toys are around, she will not be a menace to any household. Understands NO! and is a quick study--needs some leash training but is a smart, sweet brown-eyed beauty you will adore. By the evening she is ready to fall asleep with you anywhere, and she easily sleeps through the night. She loves to play and wrestle with other dogs. But she may chase a cat, although she won’t hurt it. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots.
