She was rescued from a breeder who was ready to put her down because she was done breeding. Angel doesnt really know what it's like to live in a home environment, used mostly for breeding. Both she and her sister have been socialized and are not afraid of humans, nor have they been abused as in many puppy mill situations. Buffy, 5 yrs old Female Cocker Spaniel Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Transferred to Medfield Animal Shelter Buffy is a five year old cocker who was picked up along with her male pal, Jody. They were known around town as always running free and finally the owner decided not to pay the fees. They are incredibly sweet, mellow, house trained, altered cockers. If we can place them together, it would be so nice. Maybe a senior or someone with a very kind soul. They had to be shaved down as they were matted, but the coats underneath are very healthy. Lexus, 11 mons Female Poodle Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Lexus is an adorable eleven month old poodle who was bought at a store on impulse by a grieving pet owner. Her owner relinquished to Save A Dog due to lack of time and energy for such a young dog. Lexus is a very sweet girl, loves to play and romp around. She loves other dogs and plays non-stop. She also loves people and wants to cuddle. We require a stay at home and if kids, a fenced in yard and a quiet street as she is an active puppy who could dart out. Breed experience would be awesome, or at least small dog experience. She is a love and will make someone very happy, so we're looking for the right forever home for her. Mitzie_and_Hildegard, 12 yrs old Female Dachshund Click on picture to enlarge Adopted This is Mitzie, a 12 year young short haired mini Dachshund, and Hildegard, a 12 year young wire hair mini Dachshund. Their Mom passed away and their Dad is now in an assisted living facility. The two “sisters” have been together since they were puppies and now need a new home. We're hoping to place them together, worse case with other small dogs. They both are very healthy. Occasional dental care has been required over their years and, typical of dogs their age, regular dental check ups will be needed. They have been house broken to go outside at regular intervals, otherwise, they are used to using piddle/wee pads. They both are extremely sweet natured, well behaved, friendly, low key and loving. Rosie, 4 years old Female Austrailian Shepherd Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Rosie is a beautiful 4 year old spayed female Australian Shepherd. Rosie lived also with a 4 yr old girl, parakeets, cats, a submissive pekie and a hamster, all of which she did very well with. She likes to be alpha, typical of the breed, so might do best as an only dog. She is currently staying with a friend of Save A Dog (who is fostering her in Sudbury, MA), and we're helping her place the dog. The family who had her didn't have time for her and she was becoming increasingly ignored and alone. She loves to run, to hike, to swim, to play with tennis balls and Frisbees, and most of all her squeaky soccer ball. She is not for a couch potato, but we're looking for an active person to love and direct her energies. She's playful and fun loving and an easy pup, crate trained and almost house trained too. She is medium energy and settles down quickly. She was initially a bit barky at strangers but with just a weekend in a foster home who socialized her, she greets everyone with a friendly wag. She is just the happiest, easiest puppy, not underfoot, entertains herself, but like any puppy, wants to be with her people. She seems like a dog you could take to work or be with a work from home.
