I’m Bandi, a year-and-a-half-old, 38-pound Border Collie mix. I have a sad story: I was found on the side of a road down South with my collar embedded in my neck – clearly I had been severely neglected. But I’m completely healed now, and I am so very resilient – you would never know of my past because I am so sweet and loving! My foster in Louisiana says I’m friendly, outgoing, and playful. I get along great with other dogs, and I’m very smart and like to learn new things. I’m crate trained and well behaved. Sweet Honey spent a long time in the care of her rescuers in Louisiana. Honey is sweet, calm, and really loves a comfy dog bed and some belly rubs. She would love to sniff around the yard, but isn’t much for long hikes. She is around six years old. She is a dog who enjoys the simple pleasures of life and wants nothing more than a HOME of her own where her humans will pamper her like she deserves. For a while, she was in a foster home – and got used to the good life. Then, she came back to the shelter for a bit and had another short stint with a foster that had a child. She LOVED this kid – a respectful, dog-savvy kid who loved to snuggle with her. Any family will truly be lucky to have her. She is an exceptional dog who will make someone an excellent companion. I’m Louise, a 3-year-old, Collie mix and I will be at the Mill Village Winter Festival tomorrow (12/13) from 12-1pm! Mill Village is located at 365 Boston Post Road, Sudbury. My rescuers in Louisiana adore me and say I am the perfect dog! I’m sweet, friendly, and gentle. I’m mellow and enjoy sunbathing and getting belly rubs. I’m also very adaptable and would do great in just about any home – I get along with everyone! I was cat tested at the shelter and did not pass, so I would do best in a home without kitties, but I love other dogs! I’m a total gem and just waiting for a family to become a part of and to love. I gained some weight during my heart worm treatment (from all the sitting around), but will trim down quickly with walks and a nutritious diet. NALA is a gorgeous two year old Pointer (we think) mix who was transferred to a shelter from a prison program. Nala is such a pretty girl! She has likely never had a decent family of her own – we are so thrilled she is getting the chance for adoption! She came in with several dogs from Animal Control in an impoverished area in Louisiana where there is an abundance of homeless dog. She would love a long walk and then to curl up on the couch with you. She deserves to enjoy the “home” life now – she has never gotten to watch TV, snuggle next to the fire, or have a dog bed of her own. She's 46 lbs. so a nice size.
