I was surrendered when my owner encountered hardship, and I went into foster care with my dogsitter for three months down South, so my foster family knows me very well. My foster mom said I'm the sweetest dog ever and "if I ever wanted a Doodle breed, he would be my first pick -- he is literally the nicest one I have met as a vet tech, clinic manager, and pet sitter." Right now I'm in a great board-and-train program where I am having fun playing with other dogs and learning leash-walking skills and house manners. I'm a focused learner who takes treats gently, and since I'm food motivated, I'm easy to train. An outgoing pup who loves to run and play, I enjoy going for long walks, and I'm well behaved in the car -- I will make a great adventure buddy. I'm also fully housetrained. Although I'm a hound mix, I don't bay or howl, I don't have a prey drive, and I don't need a ton of exercise. I'm friendly with other dogs and with people. When I first got to Save A Dog, I was shy and scared, but I have blossomed in my foster home! My foster mom says after a few days of decompression I showed my family my true personality, which is affectionate and playful; as she put it, "Minnie is truly a kind and happy soul." I greet her at the door, tail wagging, when she comes home and bring her every toy I can find. I also get along very well with the family's other two small dogs and enthusiastically engage them in games or chase or tug.
