Hi I'm Angel! I am as sweet of a dog as you can get. I love people, kids, other dogs and cats! I'm fully house trained and go to the door when I need to go out. I love my dog food but I also love fruits and veggies and will always enjoy a good ole red apple if you want to share. I know my basic commands of sit, shake paw, and down.
I am enjoying my time at my foster family's house running around and exploring their backyard. They have 4 dogs of their own so I have had the opportunity to meet multiple dogs. I love to cuddle and hang out with you when its time to call it a night. I am very loyal and love to just hang out with you.
I was in a Massachusetts animal control holding facility and not getting any interest because it's not a shelter for adoptions. Hopefully now that I'm with Save A Dog I can find my forever family. I will be a great dog for any household! Even though I am strong I am still very gentle, I could be an emotional support or therapy dog! Hi my name is Bear. I am a black Lab mix from West Virginia. I am 4 years old and weigh about 56 lbs. I am Labby all the way through and I adore chasing tennis balls so definitely need a fenced in yard to play and run off my energy. I am very affectionate, love belly rubs, and calm down nicely in the house - totally housebroken.
I just had my picture taken with Santa! My foster parents love me, and think I should be called 'Teddy Bear'. I greet everyone I meet with a wagging tail. They tell me I am a gem of a dog, and that the only thing I need to learn is to not get so excited when I'm about to be fed or go outside (I am a DOG ;)

I'm crate trained, nearly house trained, great on leash, good with cats, dogs, and adults. I like to sleep at the foot of the bed. I bond closely with my family and can be nervous with strangers so if you're a busy household I might not be a match for you. Small dog experience is a must. Hi I'm Clyde! I'm a 6 month old JRT/Dachshund mix. I will blossom in your home, but don't judge me by first introductions as I can be timid at first. Right now I'm in a foster home with 4 other small dogs and several small children and I'm great with all. I love belly rubs and to play with other dogs. I also enjoy snuggling with my people. I have learned "go potty" and "leave it". My foster mom says I'm housetrained and need to get outside more often than a big dog. I am getting the hang of crate training. He wants to know where everyone is at the house so he will come find my husband and I and then go back and be with my dogs. He loves long walks and enjoys chewing on Nylar bones. He goes to the door when he needs to go potty. True story- first day at our house, he followed my hound to the spare bedroom, jumped up on the bed, pulled the bedspread down a bit and crawled in, put his head on the pillow and fell asleep. He will steal your heart!"

Nala also likes to play with other dogs and she shares her foster home very well with dogs ranging in size from 15-60 lbs. Nala is quick to go into play pose with her foster fur-siblings, but will also curl up on a dog bed with a doggie friend for a nap when she's tired. Nala even gets along well with the resident cats! Penny is a sweet girl with excellent manners! She likes to sleep under the covers. Penny is a 10 year old Miniature Pinscher Min pin/Manchester terrier mix -- she weighs only 11 lbs. She was surrendered when her family became homeless after the hurricane. At times they lived out of their car and eventually had to give her up. We're raising funds for her dental work and eye exam as she has cloudy eyes. Penny has a very sweet and loving personality and loves to relax and cuddle. She likes to chase a little tennis ball after breakfast. She likes to go for walks. She loves kids, loves car rides, loves chin rubs. She gets along well with the other small/medium dogs in her foster home, and enjoys her leashed walks around the canals. Penny has excellent manners and is an easy-keeper in the home. This loving lady is hoping for a new start at life, one with a loving family and soft dog beds! She is totally housebroken.

Sebastian is 2 year old German Shepherd from the US Virgin Islands. He was evacuated off the island to Virginia due to hurricane Irma. Save A Dog drove down and picked up as many dogs as we could fit into our van. Sebastian was part of the lucky group. You would not know that he has been through such trauma though. The whole ride he was silent and never made a mess in his crate. He is good with dogs and people. He needs be treated for heart worm disease before he can be adopted. His foster family was interested in adopting him but realized that he needs supervision throughout the day as he's a young dog, so he is available again.
