Adopted

I’m Bunny, a purebred German Shepherd with a luxurious thick coat. I'm totally house trained and an easy keeper. For a time I was living for a time at a doggy daycare, so I am well socialized.  At the shelter, I'm very mellow, and I a big mush with all the volunteers – a gentle, happy, affectionate girl looking for my forever home! In an earlier life I was used for breeding at a puppy mill in PA and this is likely why I had a mammary tumor. It was removed and although cancerous, the margins were clean. I hope that doesn't deter you from adopting me as Save A Dog can show you the holistic protocol that would give me a chance at a long life. My only two quirks are very minor: I don’t love the crate, and I can easily leap over a baby gate. I love to play ball and I have a lot to offer my potential adopters. Everyone who meets me falls in love! If you google Czech Shepherds, you'll see the resemblance. Available NOW.

Hi, I'm Gracie! I'm a one-year-old Yellow Lab mix, and I'm a perfect size at 40 pounds.  In the shelter, I’m 100% a good girl! I am relaxed in my kennel, and I get along well with other dogs, with kids, and with cats. I keep my kennel nice and clean. I like to go on walks, and I happily meet people and other dogs when I'm out and about. I’m energetic and playful without being over the top.  I am smart and have already learned "sit." Below you can see a video of me when I was first rescued, and you can tell I am very friendly and good with all handling. There's another video of me being a super-good dog meeting a little girl for the first time, and there's one of us getting to know each other a little more. Won't you consider making me part of your family? Hi, I’m Hallie, and I’m like a tiny Lab. I won't get that big, maybe 25-30 lbs. I'm the most outgoing of the three of us 5-month-old Lab/Feist mix puppies. I’m also the biggest, at 16 pounds! We were all rescued after being found abandoned and starving. I have lots of puppy energy, love treats and toys, and am very food motivated. I’ve been known to scarf down my siblings’ food if they aren’t paying attention! I get along with other dogs and with children. Apply at http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp

I’m Harley and I'm the cutest puppy! I’m mostly Heeler and I'm just about 6 months old. I weigh 29 pounds now. I was rescued from the woods, where I was found with some other puppies. We were all starving and scared, so I am very glad to be with Save A Dog where the volunteers dote on me! I am looking forward to finding my family. My foster mom in Louisiana called me “the best dog ever”! I am just a happy, loving, outgoing girl. I get along well with other dogs and have lived with them in foster care; I am also good with children. I’m active and love to go new places and take rides in the car. I’m also smart and already know commands like sit, stay, and come. I hope you will consider giving me a real home! http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp

Adopted

I'm a quiet, but active Carolina Dog/Retriever mix who plays nice with other dogs. I have super-soft golden fur, and I've been told my pointy ears make me extra adorable. I'm medium-sized but need to gain some weight, so I'm hoping for an adoptive home soon where I can get snuggles and fatten up with some tasty food! I can play with toys and amuse myself. I love to go for rides in the car. I'm not a water dog, avoid it if possible. Because of my losses, I'm desperate to attach to just one or two caretakers right now. I need to bond with my human. I'm calm, I walk well on a leash, and I just like to be close to my people -- I don't love the crate but I am pretty well-behaved in the house. I have a lot of love to give and will flourish once I'm in my forever home. I'm 1.5 to 2 years old and still have puppy playfulness. Apply at http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp

Adopted

Jade is the PERFECT DOG!!! Originally from Louisiana, but she had to have lived in a home. She's five, but she could be a little older, but not more than 7 as her eyes are clear. Minimal shedding for a Husky. She's super sweet. Very friendly. She lives for her daily walks and is great on leash. She likes to play in water. She is one of those huskies who can talk, is not generally loud but her adopter who lives in a condo, said she howled when she was gone so she shouldn't go into an apt.or condo. She's very calm, not needy, just an easy keeper. She's fabulous in the car. She just sits there. Loves men! She loves belly rubs and lots of attention. She's good with other dogs. She likes to get on the sofa, but will get off if you ask her. She's SUPER SMART. Can get out of a crate or can open a gate. She's very house trained and understands everything you say. Not into toys, not a chow-hound. She's a dainty eater. She would love a calm adopter as she's serene! Please fill out our online application at www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

Adopted

I’m Violet, a 13-week-old, 5-pound fluffy Pomeranian mix: my dad was a black Pom and my mom was a Sheltie! I was rescued from an Amish puppy mill. I’m just a baby, so I am looking for a stay-at-home person to give me all the love, attention, and training a puppy needs. The rescue would prefer someone local, so they can provide guidance, and formal puppy training is required. Because I’m so tiny, I would be best in a home without small children. Tweens and up preferred, but an adult home preferred. I'm available after the application process is complete. Apply at http://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp
