	Cracker Jack is one of a litter of 4 pups who came up from KY. She is spayed and microchipped. She is about 9 weeks old and would make a wonderful apt. sized dog for someone who has the time. Renamed dD.

Terri, 2 years old Female Boxer/Boston terrier Mix Adopted

Terri is the tiniest brindled dog we've seen in a long time. We found her in a shelter in a puppy-sized kennel. She has just had pups herself and all were placed. She is a real cutie and a nice size for apt. or small home. She seems to have had several litters in her lifetime so could be two years old or slightly older. She runs like a gazelle in the back yard, is good with other dogs, including small ones. Renamed Molly. Read her Success Story

Meet the beautiful Jill. Jill's person sadly had to bring her to us. Her person had to move into restricted housing due to her age, and could not take Jill with her. Both were so sad about this. Amber came to us as a stray, and we cannot figure out how any one could let such a super dog go. She is a real gem of a dog. She is focused on people and ready to please. Her desire is to shower you with affectionate and do whatever makes you happy. She is very gentle and loving. She enjoys the kids who visit and does great with them. Samantha, 2 yrs old Female Flat Coated Ret Mix     Adopted

Samantha is a flat-coated retriever mix who is just a darling. She is your typical low key longish haired retriever who could go with a senior citizen or a family with kids. She is perfectly housebroken and not a chewer so we think she might be closer to two. Her only vice is that she can jump a fence and likes to explore so will need to be leash walked (good as a city dog) or trained on invisible fence. Renamed Georgia. Read her Success Story

Boomer, 1 year old Male Beagle/Bassett Mix    Adopted
	Boomer is a sweet one year old beagle/basset male who came into a shelter in WV. We were there when he came in and he showed himself to be a tail wagging sweetheart. He even went over to console another dog who was not happy about the vaccines. Read his Success Story

Buddy, 1 year old Male Collie  Mix     Adopted Buddy is a sweet guy who is approximately 1 years old. He is gorgeous, like a Bernese Mt. Dog, but is probably mostly collie. He gets along with everybody and is mild tempered and quiet. Just a super dog.

Patrick, 1 year old Male Yellow Lab  Mix     Adopted Patrick is a yellow lab mixed with something small, possibly beagle. He's a handsome dog who is quiet in his crate and gets along well with other dogs. He has had no accidents in the house so at least he's crate trained and probably house trained as well.

Speck,  Female Lab / Pointer  Mix     Adopted Speck is a sweetie who gets along with other dogs and is very calm in the house and affectionate with people. She is a quiet dog, well behaved dog who seems mostly lab but more slender at 45 lbs. and has speckled feet like a pointer. if you're looking for a mixed breed lab, she will not disappoint.

Ebby, 2 years old Female Labrador Retriever  Mix     Adopted Ebby is a two year old female Lab who loves swimming pools and people. She's the perfect dog to take for a walk or have sit by your feet. She is not too high energy, seems to be housebroken, and is a nice size at 60 lbs. and full grown. She looks like a chocolate lab, but much darker. She could be pure, but given where she's from could have a touch of hound thrown in.

Chrystal, 2 yrs old Female Golden Ret / Collie  Mix     Adopted Chrystal is a sweet medium sized Golden mix who is approximately 2 years old and housebroken. She is a little timid at first, but is desparate for affection and a family to dote on her.

Lacey, 2 years old Female Spitz  Mix     Adopted Lacey is a two year old 25 pound spitz mix (possibly mixed with Border Collie). She is gentle and affectionate and has very good manners. Lacey sits politely by the door when she needs to go out, rarely barks and is friendly to everyone she meets. She loves to go for walks in the woods but is equally happy draped across your lap in front of the TV. Lacey doesn't seem to like some other dogs so would do well in a home where she is the only dog.

Susie, 14 weeks Female Shepherd  Mix     Adopted Susie is a quiet, sweet puppy who loves to snuggle up to you. She is a little shy in new situations but bounces back quickly. She has soulful eyes and wants to love and be loved. Susie prefers to be by your side or in your lap. She responds very well to your voice and only wants to please. Susie is crate trained and seems to be housebroken. She gets along with other dogs and is good with kids.

Blanche, 9 mons Female Golden retriever  Mix     Adopted Blanche is a sweet golden retriever mix puppy. She is as sweet as they come.

Lucy, 18 mons Female Border Collie  Mix     Adopted Lucy is a collie-mix, tri-color, and a very good dog who learned to open a certain type of door so she would let herself out of her house and let herself in the neighbor's house. The neighbors were not amused so the owners felt they must give her up. She's otherwise not a mischievous dog and we think she just learned to use a skill when she was bored. The owners did not think they could afford to fence in their yard and thought she deserved more attention than sitting home all day. We also think a fenced in yard would be great as she doesn't seem to be a jumper. She is 100% housebroken and can be left inside or out of a crate with no problems whatsoever. She does not destroy anything or get into any trouble. She is great with kids and loves to play outside and run but is not high energy inside. She knows many commands and is a willing learner.

Tess, 14 weeks Female Beagle  Mix     Adopted Tess is an adorable outgoing playful puppy. She is a fluffy beagle type with sturdy arms and a round bottom that wiggles adorably when she walks. She loves everyone she meets and is good with kids and other dogs. She is crate trained and seems to be housebroken as she will cry to go out. Tess would make a great family dog!

Precious, 1 years old Female shepherd / lab  Mix     Adopted Precious is small sweet calm girl who is approximately 1 years old. She is approximately 30 lbs and gets along with other dogs.

Star, 10 mons Female Labrador Retriever    Adopted Star is a 10 month old female black lab who was used by a veterinary school as a test dog. She has received all her vaccinations and spay and even had her tail docked a bit (poor dear). She received much attention while at the vet school from the students and was a favorite. They called us and asked if we would take her, so now she's with us. She's a beautiful dog and is eager for a forever home. She is great with dogs, not tested with cats.

Maggie, 2 years old Female Spaniel / Corgi  Mix     Adopted Maggie is a two year old short black dog who we found at a WV shelter where she was dumped with her puppies. She was a good mom and proved to be totally housebroken. She is soft, long-haired, and just friendly to everyone.

Annie, 2 yrs old Female Alaskan Malamute  Mix     Adopted A SWEET CALM GIRL THAT IS APPROX 2 YEARS OLD

Pudding, 8 weeks Female Spitz  Mix     Adopted This is Pudding at 6 weeks old. She will be ready to go after she is 8 weeks old (May 23). Pudding is the biggest puppy in her litter and is calm, confident and fearless. She's the first to greet people and will give you a big bear hug around the neck when you pick her up. Possum, 8 weeks Male Spitz  Mix     Adopted This is Possum at 6 weeks old. He will be ready to go after he is 8 weeks old (May 23). Possum is a sweet, gentle, puppy. He's very smart, a little quieter than his sibilings, and extremely affectionate. Possum can be seen at our next adoption event. There will be no appointments to see him before then. Jake, 5 years old Male Lhasa-Poo    Adopted Jake is a five year old Lhasa-Poo who is being given up due to a death in the family. Owners would like to place Jake with his sister, Jesse, if possible. Both dogs are in excellent health and extremely well take care of with beautifully groomed coats. Jake is an extremely sweet dog who loves nothing more than to sit in your lap and be petted. He will sit pretty and can hold a sit forever. He loves his little dog bed and does not need a crate. He is house trained and is not a chewer. He and his sister, Jesse, have been together since puppies and it would be wonderful to find them a home together.

Pokey, 8 weeks Female Spitz  Mix     Adopted This is Pokey at 6 weeks old. She will be ready to go after she is 8 weeks old (May 23). Pokey loves to be the center of attention and practically leaps into your arms when she sees you. She loves people and will make a great companion. Pokey can be seen at our next adoption event. Pumpkin, 8 weeks Male Spitz  Mix     Adopted This is Pumpkin at 6 weeks old. He will be ready to go after He is 8 weeks old (May 23). Pumpkin is a lively, silly puppy who loves to romp and play. Occasionally he'll race around the room for joy, then fall asleep a few seconds later. He's very content to lie on his back in your arms and have his tummy scratched. Jesse, 4 years old Female Lhasa    Adopted Jesse is a purebred four year old female Lhasa who has been in one home since she was a puppy. She and her sibling, Jake, are being given up due to a death in the family. The family would like to place the dogs together if possible. Jesse is a blonde Lhasa with a beautifully maintained coat. She is the queen bee of the pair. She is extremely loyal to her person, but also loves to be with Jake. She is perfectly house trained and sleeps in her little dog bed. She will let you know if someone is at the door, but will go lie down afterwards. She and Jake were raised in an adult home with visiting well-behaved grandchildren. She likes to chew on a bone or just lie around and look pretty. She's a beautiful dog who deserves a loving home.

Oreo, 3 mons Male Lab / Terrier  Mix     Adopted If fluffy is what you want, then this is the dog for you. Oreo is a cute, fluffy, terrier mix. He kind of looks like a black English Sheep Dog. He is playful and full of fun and needs a family to love and train him. Because he is only 3 months old he needs someone home during the day or with flexible hours. We'd prefer an adult home or teens as he's going through the mouthy stage right now.

Tye, 10 mons Male Minpin / ACD  Mix     Adopted This is Tye. He is one of those dogs of mysterious heritage. He could have some Australian Cattle Dog, Lab, Chihuahua or some short stocky dog in his genes. We believe that Erin (adopted in April) is his Mom since they came in together. We are unsure of his breeds, but we are sure he is one super dog. Tye is about 10 months old (as of 4/14) and weighs around 30 lbs. He has a happy, upbeat attitude and just takes everything in stride. He adores everyone he meets and can't wait to wiggle up to you. He was very happy laying in a lap. He is friendly and wants to give lots of affection. He enjoys playing, and has been great with the other dogs at the shelter. Tye simply loves everything. He will be a super companion.

Thoreau, 3 years old Male Hound  Mix     Adopted Thoreau is a sweet and loving hound mixed with perhaps dobie or greyhound; as he is quite svelte. He is housebroken, already neutered and crate trained. He is very content curling up on the couch or snuggling in a chair with his foster father. Thoreau enjoys getting and giving affection and he entertains himself by playing with toys, tennis balls and when given a bone he trots off and hides it in a corner or covers it with pillows! He very much enjoys going for a walk and playing gently with other dogs.

Cindy, 3 mons Female Border Collie  Mix     Adopted Cindy is a sweet 3 month old Border Collie mix.

Frenchie, 3 mons Male Border Collie  Mix     Adopted Frenchie is a fluffy collie mix who might be a border collie, we're not sure. Some say Newfie. It's hard to tell at this age. He is a playful pup who loves attention. He was brought up from a shelter in KY and is neutered, microchipped and ready to go. Teens or adults preferred as he is teething and everything is a chew toy to him.

Black Jack, 9 weeks Male Minpin / Terrier  Mix     Adopted Black Jack is one of a litter of 4 pups who came up from KY. He is neutered and microchipped. He is about 9 weeks old and would make a wonderful apt. sized dog for someone who has the time.

Hoover, 9 weeks Male Minpin / Terrier  Mix     Adopted Hoover is a small dog who loves to be held. If there is a lap out there he wants to be in it. He loves kids and was a bit shy around his foster's 120lb dog but after a few short days he wants to be his best friend. He is on his way to being house broken and is a fast learner. He is well behaved and has not chewed on furniture. He would do best with someone who is home during the day as he likes to be with people all the time. He is an easy puppy and would work nicely for a first time dog owner. Please remember Hoover is very small so will need gentle hands.

Peggy, 15 weeks Female Labrador Retriever  Mix     Adopted Peggy is a Labrador Retriever mix puppy who is 15 weeks old (as of 4/25). She is very social and will run to greet you and wag her tails in joy. She enjoys attention and likes being held. She likes every person she meets, and should be fine with kids. She is easygoing, active and playful.

Survivor, 8 mons Female Labrador Retriever  Mix     Adopted Meet the wonderful Survivor. She was left at a rented house when her people moved because they could no longer afford to keep her. Poor Survivor was so sad and confused about this since she did no wrong. But she is more than willing to love and will quickly bond. Survivor is a Labrador Retriever mix who is 8 months old (as of 4/1) and weighs about 60 lbs. She is a very gentle dog who only wants to please. She is very submissive and will quickly rollover for a belly rub. She will benefit from a permanent home so she can build some confidence. She is partly housetrained, but still needs a little work. She is fine with other dogs. She is great with strangers (all are her friend). She has shown no interest in cats, so we think she could live with them. For her age, she is fairly calm. Survivor's personality makes her a good dog for kids, or a great first dog. She will be fine in any situation and will offer lots of love.

Sheeba, 1 year old Female Flat Coated Ret  Mix     Adopted Sheeba is a very sweet, calm flat coated retriever mix. Her coat is soft and shiny. She gets along with other dogs. At the Adoptathon, she was giving gentle kisses to all the children. She adores sitting in your lap and receiving hugs and pats. Sheeba learns very quickly with positive training.

Brighty, 8 mons Female Cairn Terrier    Adopted Brighty is a pure bred Cairn Terrier. She is sweet and is good with dogs, cats and kids.

Jerry, 12 weeks Male Basset Hound  Mix     Adopted Jerry looks like a Basset. He is the white colored pup on the top of his brother and sister.

Thelma, 12 weeks Female Basset Hound  Mix     Adopted Thelma is a reddish colored 12 week old Basset hound mix.

Silent Bob, 4 mons Male Lab / Terrier  Mix     Adopted What a charmer! This is Silent Bob. He is a Labrador Retriever who may have a little Terrier in his bloodlines. He has some wirey whiskers around his face. Bob is about 3 1/2 months old (as of 4/1). He is so adorable and has a prize winning personality. He loves people and is quite content to sit in your lap. You can see he is almost smiling! He is very quiet, hence his name. For his age, he is also calm and laidback. He has a gentle heart and quickly offers you his love. He is fine with other dogs too. Silent Bob has so much to offer - love, loyalty and a heartwarming manner.
