 Dogs Adopted in June 2004

Shirley, 18 mons Female German shepherd Mix Adopted
Shirley is a small female shepherd mix who looks like a floppy-eared shepherd. She came to us with her sister, Laverne, from a WV shelter where they were in danger of being gassed. She is outgoing and friendly, loves to give kisses. She just needs some training and leash work, but will make someone a wonderful companion. She loves people. She's good in her crate and is happy chewing on a bone or lying at your feet.

Renamed Ellie. Read her Success Story

Ginger Snap, 2 years old Female Corgi/Aussie Mix Adopted
Ginger Snap is a 20 lb. corgi/aussie mix who came from a horrible situation. She is only two years old and has already had multiple litters of puppies. She was afraid of people when she was rescued, but has come a long ways. She is doing much better now, but a patient adult home would be best to develop her confidence. She is very sweet.

Dori, 1 year old Female Beagle/Lab Mix Adopted
Dori is an absolute sweetheart in a small package. She is a volunteers' favorite as she will leap into your arms as soon as you let her out of her crate. She is always wagging her tail and just loves everybody. When she was spayed her tail never stopped wagging. She is the kind of dog we love to place.

Chocolate Chip, 9 weeks Female ACD  Mix     Adopted
Chocolate

Chocolate Chip is a nine week old Aussie mix who is blond and frecked and as cute and spunky a puppy as you'd find. She is being treated for uveitis and may have had early distemper so we're looking for a home who will give her the eye drops if needed on a regular basis. No small children as she's had a rough start in life and is a bit shy at first. She is crate trained.

Butterscotch, 9 weeks Female ACD  Mix     Adopted

Princess, 1 year old Female Shiba Inu  Mix     Adopted
Princess
Princess Princess

Princess is a Shiba Inu mix. She is a happy, joyful, in fact, dog who loves to play with her toys by tossing them in the air. She also adores chewing on bones and can entertain herself for a good while with a toy or a bone. She gets along great with other dogs, is not a barker, and crates well. She weighs about 25 lbs.

Lady, 3 years old Female Lab / Dobbie  Mix     Adopted
Lady
Lady Lady

Lady is a sweetheart. Mellow and faithful. She is good with other dogs, kids, cats, etc. She is 80 lbs. and good on a lead. She is housetrained and spayed. She's had a rough start and would love a forever home.

Coco, 1 year Female ACD / Blue Heeler  Mix     Adopted
Coco
Coco Coco

Coco is a very sweet girl. Approx. 1 yr. old and weighs about 30 lbs. Walks good on a lead. Good with other dogs.

Spunky, 8 mons Male Spaniel / Hound  Mix     Adopted
Spunky
Spunky Spunky

Spunky is approx. 6-8 months old. He weighs approx. 30 lbs. Someone dumped him at the gate to the pound . He is very sweet. Good on a lead and with other dogs. He's spunky and adorable. Would prefer a stay at home as he abhores crates.

Baron, 8 mons Male Shepherd / lab  Mix     Adopted
Baron
Baron Baron

Baron is a sweet pup who is approximately 8 months old. He has an unbelievable personality and is just a super dog who is as playful and affectionate as you can imagine a puppy would be. To know him is to love him. He is very crate trained and probably house broken, an easy keeper and well behaved for a puppy.

Patches, 3 mons Female Corgi  Mix     Adopted
Patches
Patches Patches

Patches is a 15 lb. female Corgi mix puppy who was returned recently because the owner felt mange was too costly to treat. She has demodectic mange, which is not contagious and is being treated with Ivermectin. She is a very sweet and well socialized puppy. We are looking for a responsible adult to adopt her and continue with the treatment. We have had a good success rate with this type of mange. She is already spayed and microchipped as well.

Cookie Dough, 9 wks Female ACD / Shepherd  Mix     Adopted
Cookie
Cookie

Cookie Dough is a 9 week old (as of 6/2/04) pup who came in with her tiny mother. She seems to have a shepherd look with the big floppy ears and shepherd face. She is being treated for uveitis and has one bluish eye that we expect to clear up. Cookie Dough is shy at first, but very affectionate. A home with small children would frighten this beautiful shy girl, though, so an adult home is preferred

Shalee, 8 mons Female Lab  Mix     Adopted
Shalee
Shalee Shalee

Shalee is a sweet girl who likes to play with the other dogs. She is approximately 8 months old. She is also cuter than her pictures and very petite for a lab. She appears to have some cattle dog in her and loves to herd the other dogs when they're playing. She really knows how to have fun and wags her whole body when she greets you. She is going to be an incredible dog for anyone who wants to adopt her. She would work in a lot of different situations, but we're hoping for a home where she is allowed to play a lot as she needs it given she's a puppy.

Winnie, 5 mons Female Beagle / Cattle Dog  Mix     Adopted
Winnie
Winnie Winnie

Winnie is an adorable puppy who is just a joy to watch. She is silly and happy and just enjoys life to the max. You have to have a sense of humor to adopt this dog as she is a laugh a minute. She is pretty too. The size of a beagle with the beautiful markings of a cattle dog, she is a real looker. Pictures were taken at night and don't do her justice. She is affectionate and gets along with everyone, including dogs. She is not a barker, but will whine in the crate. So far, no accidents in the crate.

Benji, 2 years old Male Spitz / Collie  Mix     Adopted
Benji

Benji is a happy, peppy 2 year old blonde male mix., either spitz or collie. He is approximately 30-35 pounds. He had a rough time lately as he appears to have had some skin problems around his face that caused the fur around his eyes to fall out. We believe he was tied out and is recovering from fly bites as is common where he comes from. He does know some obedience commands, like sit and down. He seems like the perfect size and would make someone a devoted friend.
