Hello,

I just received the Save A Dog newsletter and it prompted me to write this email about our success story. Chelsea came from one the visited 'shelters'. I wanted both Shirley and Donna Jo to know how much joy their work has brought to our family.

We adopted Chelsea (a black lab mix with white chest and white paws) in October 2006. I was a little nervous on our first night, thinking I would be up with her all night. However, this was not the case. She curled up on a dog bed right next to my bed and slept the entire night. For me, this was a sign. She immediately became loved by our entire family (well everyone except the cat...that took a little more time). Chelsea loves to go for walks to say hello to all her friends in the neighborhood, loves to chew on her toys and loves to take naps by the fireplace. She still has her puppy excitedness, but she is gentle and very happy to be with people and other dogs.
