Hi - just thought I'd say hello and tell you how Junior's doing. He has brought me great joy, and we are both very comfortable in our new life together. When I tell him it's time for bed, he grabs his favorite toy and goes right into his crate.

We walk anywhere from 3-5 miles every day, and he gets to socialize with other dogs most days. The docile, submissive Junior has become a confident, playful puppy who loves other dogs. I've attached a picture of him from this morning playing with his cousin Casey.

He also loves to swim. The other photo is also from this morning of him fetching a stick in the water.  We just returned from a week in Maine where he got to swim in the ocean. The water was too cold for me, but he loved it.

By the way, the vet tells me he's a mix of golden and flat coat retriever. The flat coat, of course, is known as the Peter Pan of dogs because they never grow up. That's a good thing - it will help keep me young.

He had his neutering, and withstood his ten days of wearing the cone of shame very well. I think I had more of a problem during that time than he did.

Anyway, we're doing great, and I thank you for being there for all the dogs you are saving.
