Hello,
I wanted to send a bittersweet update on my fur baby Riley, whom I adopted from Save a Dog in April 2010 on my birthday 16 years ago. It breaks my heart to let you know that Riley crossed the rainbow bridge on March 25, 2026. He gave me so many years of joy, and I will forever be grateful!
I was surprised and delighted to see that his adoption page was still active. Everything you wrote was 100% accurate. Riley was a spunky, darling boy who loved everyone and I was blessed to be his forever human. I can't thank you enough for rescuing him so that he could come into my life. 💞

Riley and I did 16 years of life together. He ushered me out of my 20s and into my 40s — the most formative adult years of my life. Through the years, we shared so much joy, weathered heartbreak, job changes, and cross-country moves. He was always by my side and walked me down the aisle when I married my husband Charlie. Riley knew he would always and forever be my #1 boy.
My fluffy black fox loved city adventures, beach walks, car rides and the sun in his face. He thrived on both coasts and traveled North America with me. When he went to work with Charlie at Lyft he was known as “the best product barketer” and had many girlfriends. He had the biggest smile and would look deep into your soul. In dog years, he lived to 112, but it’s never enough time. We love you forever, bear 💕🌈💕
