In memory of Chester Weiss

2/15/09 – 12/14/23

On December 14, 2023 we said goodbye – for now – to our sweet Chester.  He was 14 years, 10 months old.

We adopted him from Save A Dog in April 2010.  He had been adopted once before and returned because of a behavior issue.  We worked with him for years and devoted the past 13 years to managing his environment.  True to his SAD write-up, he was the most affectionate dog I’ve ever met and had no concept of personal space.  He loved his walks in the woods, and enjoyed hiding our shoes so that every day was an adventure in getting dressed.

While there are no words to describe our grief, we are so grateful to Save A Dog for bringing Chester into our lives.  We cherish the 13+ of friendship he gave us and will love and miss him always.

Sleep well, my lovely boy, until we meet again at the bridge.
