Hi there, 

About 9 years ago, I found an adoptable Saveadog lab mix named Sandy via Petfinder.  I worked with Shirley, from your organization, and completed the adoption process. At the time, I was six months pregnant and Shirley was concerned that having a newborn and a new dog at the same time might be more than I could handle.  Well, my daughter is 8 now and she and Sandy have grown up together beautifully.  

Sandy has always been an absolute sweetheart, and I never worried about her being around my daughter, Zoe, at all.  She gladly shared her space with cats, rabbits, horses, and guinea pigs with no complaints. I feel genuinely blessed to have found her, and I thank you for giving us a chance even though our circumstances were not ideal at the time of the adoption.

Last week we learned the terrible news that Sandy had transitional cell carcinoma. We had to make the very difficult decision to euthanize her.

I am very thankful for your organization because without the work you do, Sandy may very well have ended up in a kill shelter, or worse.  She was an integral part of our family, and we are deeply affected by her absence.

Keep up the good work that you do.  Perhaps someday we will be ready to adopt another dog. Saveadog will be my first choice of adoption agency.
