He was so happy spending first 7 years on a farm in Sherborn, going on trail rides and with free access to horse doo ...then moving to Waltham where he with his dog mate,Samantha learned about leashes and dog parks and wonderful hikes, but still lots of trail riding...then transition with me to lakeside/mountain trails Maine..he had his own 7 acre island to himself and dogs he invited. where he never turned down a kayak ( single seat!) and was a serious accompanying swimmer ..we named  his destination island  after him.....until his last year he was eager for 1.5 hour hikes everyday and totally trusted that life would be wonderful, as indeed it was....I miss him alot and hope you can find me another dog even though I know it won't be Jake..although sad, it was great seeing him on your website..
