 In Memory of  Max Freeman

Save A Dog wishes to thank Nicki Piersol-Freedman for her generous $350 donation in honor of her beloved Max who recently passed away.

"Max, snuggler yorkie extraordinaire. You have left a hole in our heart and an empty place in our bed - but you have also left us with loving memories that will last a lifetime. Hopefully over the rainbow bridge you have back your youth, your sight, and your love for those peanut butter bones!"

Max was a dog rescued from immediate euthanasia because with his matted fur, rotten teeth, and poor sight (eventually blindness) the shelter (which will remain nameless, but was one of the big ones with initials, I'll leave it at that) deemed him "unadoptable." This was in 1994 and we, his family loved him very dearly, proving that, in fact, he was MOST adoptable to us. We lost him this August and miss him very much. I can only hope that in his memory, another dog is given a similar chance through your wonderful organization..
