Save A Dog, Inc. - Success Story
 Marley, formerly Toby
Hi Shirley,

Just checking in to let you know that Toby (now named Marley) is doing great. He is such a sweet and wonderful dog. He was a bit timid at first but each day he has gotten a little more comfortable with new situations and is progressing by leaps and bounds. He was very afraid to walk on the tile, walk up the hardwood stairs, hated our crate and did not eat for the first 24 hrs. (still not eating as much as we would expect). He did not even want to think of playing for the first few days but he took a sock that my husband had throw away in the bedroom waste basket and decided he liked a cute stuffed animal from Brenna's bed. He just carried them onto his blanket and did nothing more with them. We did buy him some more appropriate "dog toys" and Brenna has since put her stuffed animals out of his reach. Funny how he just needed a few things of ours next to him. He has not had any accidents in the house, although he did "mark his territory" in two locations (one area twice) , so I am hoping we can get a handle on that. I did buy some organic spray at the pet store today to deter him from doing it again. Hopefully that will work. He has been excellent on the leash, loves to walk in the woods and running alongside us. Has such a gentle spirit and I know that he is going to work out just fine.We are thrilled. He is just such a love.He had his first bath and was great for the groomer. He met our neighbors dog yesterday and they couldn't get enough of each other. My son has been trying to teach him to fetch and play frisbee, but no luck as of yet!

I am attaching a picture of "Marley" with my daughter Brenna.

Many thanks to you and the rescue league for your dedication and great work, and to Cathy and Christina for helping us find a great dog for our family.

Best,
Heidi Caron-Guay and family
