Cookie (who's adoption name was Suki) came to us Christmas Eve 2003 after being cared for by her foster family whose teenage daughter, a budding veterinarian, took her under her wing and gave her a fresh start at her grand life. She is now a sweet, smart, beautiful, loving, member of our family. Everywhere we go, Cookie greats people with a HUGE smile and a full body wiggle. In fact, we also call her "Wiggles".

Often we go to a nearby beach that allows dogs, leash-free, during the winter months. Recently, we saw a Teruvian Shepherd that looked so much like it could be her cousin. She's got a bit of Golden Retreiver and maybe a little Sheltie in for good measure. She is the fastest runner we've ever seen for her size and can out manurever 99% of the dogs that accept the invitation to chase her. Her best friend is a Sato rescue dog from the Cape Ann Shelter named Foxy Lady. They just can't get enough of each other. Two more years and we'll be back for a companion for Cookie. Of course, we'll go straight to Save-A-Dog!
