Save A Dog - Rescues
August 2, 2003 from North Carolina |
 |
Rescue Angel, Jill from a humane society in NC, drove
all night with her co-pilot aunt. These ladies work so hard to save animals and it's an
uphill battle in their locale, but driving north gives them hope that these pups will find good homes.

 |
What a lot of labbies and black dogs came up. They have a hard time adopting black dogs
down south, but up here labs are popular so these should all find nice homes.
|
 |
Donna Clark of the Pelham shelter coordinated bringing all the dogs up
and worked tirelessly at getting them all into the various rescue vans, while providing hospitality
for everyone with snacks and soda. Someone even made rice for all the dogs.

Kelly Cintron was Save A Dog's co-pilot. Here she is
getting her "puppy fix." |
 |
All the puppies played nicely in the shelter's court yard.
Here's a movie clip. Listen to the accents. The northerner asks
if any are "Bahkers" and Jill answers in the cutest southern twang. |

 |
Here they are at Shirley's,
getting assistance from volunteer Donna Flood, who came over with her son, Josh, to
help unload. Thank God for volunteers! |
