We adopted Serena (formerly Cookie) in 2002. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is much beloved by us and our family members, friends, and neighbors. She is just as affectionate and sweet as you thought. She loves to be petted by everyone she meets. Everyone comments on her beautiful coloring and lovely personality.

We really enjoyed your recent newsletters. We were prompted by your request for us to keep in touch to send along some Christmas photos of Serena. We can't thank you, your staff, and the shelters that you work with enough for all you do. We are so fortunate to have found Serena.

Thank you so much for bringing Serena into our lives. The wonderful folks in Kentucky had named her Cookie, but we've renamed her to Serena. The pretty name matches her looks and disposition. She is so kind, gentle, intelligent, eager to please, and affectionate.

She is great with our kids and all those in our neighborhood. Everyone here considers her a super dog; she has fit right in. She just adores being with people and being rubbed all day. She has a few separation issues but is quickly learning to use the crate during our brief absences. We cannot tell you how much we appreciate and admire all the work that your team does to find the best pet for us and for so many others. We will certainly refer other families who are looking for just the right pet to you.

We hope that once our kids are grown, we can join your team as foster parents. You all do such great work.
