Hi Keepers of Lola's Pups,
I'm reporting in for Lola (formerly Janice). She's now settled in with us....nearly a month.
She's perfect in everyway: no chewing, shedding, rarely barks....
Only one word of warning...Keep your eyes on your chocolate cakes. Your puppies' mother
likes Chocolate Cake! She'd never come near the table for dinner but Friday evening I
left a very rich Passover Cake on a shelf and when I turned my back she dined on a quarter
of it! Our son is convinced that it was her birthday and she helped herself to this cake
as her birthday cake.
Ooops. She took herself quickly to her crate.
About water, she's not so sure about swimming. We have streams and a pond near by.
Her more favorite activity is scratching up rocks from the streambed. This she'll
do for a long time and yelps with glee.
She's more hunter than herder...so we wonder if a little bird-dog is in her mix?
Springer Spaniel somewhere? She's so mellow in the house and so ON when she gets
a scent of squirrel or flushes a bird in the meadow.
We're all delighted with her. She takes the cake and eats it too! We hope she can
visit her puppies sometime. Our son Isaac is especially keen on staying in touch.
He's 11 and we adopted him when he was 5 months old so adoption stories are important.
We're happy for all these happy Lola and Puppy adoption stories.
Thanks for any news and photos.
Here's the photo that Shirley took of Lola. We'll work on editing Isaac's photos of her and
will send some new ones along.
